Yep, that's fixed it - thanks very much.

Mind you, judging the pings that the server is showing, I may need to find a new ISP :P

As I remember, there was some problems when using the linux-version with sliders.linux.static. The problem was that you couldn't connect to the master server. Try using sliders.linux.shared or sliders.linux? Thanks - that's the problem. I'll try those once I get the missing libraries that I need :P

Connecting to turboserver.org - problem.

Now my interest is back in TS, I'm finding that I cannot connect to turboserver.org at all. I can ping the server, reach it via http using Firefox, but not all using TS. I can even list the server list using http://turboserver.org/s.php?q=list I'm port forwarding 6654 and 6655 to my box through my r...

Hey fellow Aussie player! mmmmm i can see what you mean by the lag issues, its really hard to race properly when your opponents are jumping all over the screen.. with any luck hopefully a new server will be created somewhere near the oceanic region... Yeah, I just need to find what I've done with m...

Is there a v.1.05 for Linux?

Just had a look at the Linux page for TS, but the last update was December 2004. Does this mean that there is no 1.05 version for Linux?

I hope I haven't missed the first game (there's no dates above) - I've been moving house and still don't have a phone line working :P (I'm writing this from work).

With a bit of luck I might have one this week, but as Telstra is so bloody slow, perhaps not :P

What doe sthat equate to as GMT? If that's 6pm GMT, that's way too late for me - I'm in Australia. It would need to be 2-4PM GMT ideally.

I agree - a league would be fun. Mind you, I have only seen a server hosting games once, so I don't know how many people are playing it regularly.

Three (or four players - perhaps too many?) per team would be preferable to two, as it allows for a bit more strategy.

Hello I have a problem with lag: Most of the time everything is cool but almost every day around 10 pm there are all servers with ping higher than 200 (all are red) and 15 minutes later everything is cool (15 servers with "normal"(yellow) ping - other red) Oh, 200 ping. The luxury of it a...

Re: Problem with dedicated server, 1.0.4, Linux

Hi! 1: The sliders.linux.static binary could not connect to master server for some reason (Connect fail or something like that), sliders.linux worked though...but to get that binary to work I had to install a X-server. :? You shouldn't need to do this, as I have run a server on a headless box. Did ...
