Yes sir! That did the trick. Seems to be running smoothly now.

Release candidate 4 crashes before it even starts. Just after it changes resolution and goes to full screen mode. Rc3 worked fine.

About gravity, it is really not used anywhere yet and I don't know if it is of any use. Just include the code Anddru gave you in your trk-file, put it below "Include tiles2.til" and change the values to your liking, like changing acceleration as Anddru suggested. Use a simple text editor, like note pad. This will change the properties for the Track edge terrain.

I can't think of a good solution to this, besides terrain that slow down or damage terrain.

Penalty terrain is a good idea... could add penalty to lap times or deduct race points. Too bad Ande isn't doing much updates these days. You'll have to figure out the best compromise I guess.

Bumpy inner curbs are a pretty nice sollution imo:

...Well, that rule excludes team play IMO. Because as soon as one driver starts driving blocking etc to help someone else, he breaks the rule by not doing whatever he can to take the win himself.
