Well starting from catalyst 8.9 there are support for opengl 3.0. Maybe that thing makes things nasty?

When making F1 track to TS track people usually do it thinking how it should look. Not how it would be to drive. Usually straights are like planned but curves are usually just cosmetic part of track. Speeder has top speed around of 350 and if you can drive trough chicane which should be 80 with spee...

Have you tried to change SDL.dll file? In 2.0.0 its version 1.2.13.0 and in is1.0.8 its 1.2.9.0. So try to copy that SDL.dll file from your 1.0.8 folder to your 2.0.0 folder and try if that helps

It is just one point that you have to consider when creating a track. Good trackmaker can make starting line so that it is in best position.
