I surely will :) I love Turbo Sliders a lot. I've managed 6 F1 Championships in the past and other international tournaments. I invested lot of time working on tracks: the trackpack you see above. Despite the fact that we left TS, i still kept visiting the website and forum to check the progress. Th...

Hengari, i personally use OpenGL... and its a jewel. Works wonders. I'm just asking this cause a friend of mine has an old pc (and not in a position to buy a new computer right now), and his pc/video card deos not support opengl. He worked well with 1.08, so i adviced him to try SDL or DirectDRAW. B...

Yes i read it well hangari. I've tried it using lower resolutions and alpha blending off, but still SDL and Direct Draw are unplayable. I've tested it on my P4, and also on my brand new pc with geforce 8800. I also confirmed with mouse and jazzy about this, and they too confirmed that SDL and Direct...

Game runs slow

Would like an answer for this>

openGL works wonders on both my P4 and also on my GAMER PC.

But why on my P4, using either SDL or DirectDraw the game runs very very slow (unplayable), when in TS 1.08 it was not the case.

I have installed TS 2.0 on both PC's, my gamer PC and a P4.

On my gamer PC everything is ok with tyre marks, skid marks

but on my p4 i have no skidmarks and no tyre marks. This problem on the p4 was not present with v1.08 of TS.

PS. Using OpenGL

Yes, it seems they an be deleted. Seems had no effect on game.

Another question. Can the 2.0version be installed on the v1.8? or better uninstall and install it again.

Thanks

When TS 2.0 is installed it creates a couple of files scattered in the C drive.

eg: a couple of eula.3082 files, globdata, install, VC_RED, VC_redist, a couple of install.res.1036.dll etc

What are these files? Are they required?

Ande don't worry about the problem mentioned above, cause some tiles come in the right place and other have a slight difference. So cannot determine exactly what is the problem. It could be something with my test track or tile. But when i use a tile/bridge as object (tile 5000) using transparent bac...

Ande i had that slight problem i explained before. When i place a tile it comes in the right place where i've put it.

But if i edit it and make a level tile 2 (a bridge), it changes position slighlty and then have to move it left/right up or down from code.

Yes Ande i understnand perfectly. Just something i noticed: When i do a bridge i set it as a normal tile and then place it in the place/position i want. Then i open track file and change tile to Leveltile 2. But what is noticing is that when i test i find that the location of the tile moves and is n...

I will test rc5 later today. Ande when you have a track with a diagonal start and we set the first control point, we can rotate that using a command. But that just rotates the grid. The start/finish line is not perfect has it can be either totally horizontal or vertical. Is that demanding to fix for...

Hengari don't know what you are saying. I have no shift keys broken. I'm happy with OPENGL - giving 50/55 fps and 0% to 5% load, using a resolution of 1680 by 1050, testing on a big track with bridges. I was talking about bridges which are in diagonal shape and have parts of it which are open. Trans...

Anyways... as far as i am concerned direct x in rc3 was smoother than direct play in rc4.

BRIDGE PROBLEM SOLVED.

NO NEED TO MAKE TRANSPARENTS PART BLACK, BUT JUST LEAVE THEM TRANSPARENT.

GREAT

Hello Ande. Now i tested on my gaming computer and can say that OpenGL worked very good. Using a mod_test track of 4000 by XXXX, resolution of 1680 by 1050 on a 22inch monitor and 20 bots. I had a constant 50 fps and a constant 0% to 5% Load. THE ONLY PROBLEM still remains bridges. Transparent parts...

RESOLUTION : 1280 by 800 on my LAPTOP (20 BOTS) TEST 1 USING: OPENGL = FPS 50, LOAD 5 to 10%, BUT THE CAR HAS FREEZE EVERY NOW AND THEN, PLUS THE BRIDGES USING TRANSPARENCY HAVE BECOME BLACK. TEST 2 USING: SDL = FPS 50, LOAD 35 TO 80, BUT NO CAR FREEZE AND BRIDGES B...

Thats great news!

Something interesting to be changed in the future is the size of the hud information.

When playing with high resolution and on wide screen monitors, it becomes a bit difficult to read the hud information in a split of a second.

The text becomes to small.

I have tested TS 2.0 with highest resolution possible on a 22" monitor using game resolution of: 1680 by 1050. Using a track test of 4000 by 2415. With Direct X ON it works very good - fps is constant at 50 and load ranges between 20 and 40. With DIRECT X OFF i could notice that it was not smoo...

Jazzyclub wrote: 5) in 1.08 the bridges putted in diagonal have no problem, but in 2.0 they have black gap inside (we all know the bridge tile is an assemble of many parts)
Jazzy is this the problem i spoke to you about?

Diagonal bridges have a black border around them.
