In-game records list
I wonder if the in-game records list would be little different; instead of you can have multiple times on the records list you can have only one time on the records list per a car. That's just because there is many good players who won't still reach the top 20 list because there is one or few players filling all the time fields, got it?
Well, the wanker cares about the 1st field onlyNo way! I'm a wanker, I want to fill all the time fields!
Using ip addresses wont work. Some people have a common IP toward the internet, others have dynamic ip. The only solution is the nick's hash.Keppana wrote:Yes, there is a problem with multiple nicks but it can maybe solved with IP address..
But I like the idea. It would actually help I think. Right now my record list is completely useless... it only has 3-4 players for every track. Thumbs up from me (for single entry pr. player).

Yes Keppana, in its current form the in-game record list is useless. For a stats freak like me, it's really annoying to first have 25 best performances and then a large gap to all the rest times, which anyway contain some multiple performances depending on when they have been driven. This absolutely makes no sense. I see three solutions here.
(1) Only one time/player as Keppana suggested.
(2) Top 25 performances as it is now, followed by the best performers without the presence of some early driven times from those who have achieved the top25 list.
(3) Much deeper list of top performances.
I would prefer solution 3 since solution 1 would be just a repetition of the records website.
Multiple nicks, and the same nick with different hashes, is also an annoying problem, which hardly can be gotten rid of here. Dede's contribution in the form of a new ranking system will be extremely valuable for those who care about records and statistics. Looking forward to see how it works.
