I just published my first 2 tracks for TS v1.00 too.
It seems that the URL of my pages is still the old one
around here (at the old & new TS pages), so ...

Here's the correct URL:

http://www.aeuk.1g.fi/turbosliders/turbosliders.htm

I updated the links on the Jollygood site. I also split this into a new topic so that we can keep the other thread dedicated to tips on using the editor.

When I have some time I'll figure out how to do sub-forums for the TS forum...

Xtreme Bumpz is unleashed!

XB is a simple mod in which you try to push other players out of a specially designed arena (called X-Bowls). There are currently 3 pretty basic bowls, but I'll be making some more xtreme ones soon.

Go to www.kobradog.tk & check it out.

It is easier to get testdrivers on irc (Internet Relay Chat). Join #turbosliders on Quakenet network. If irc is not familiar to you, read http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/irctutorial.html or ask about a friend to help.

Howdy, I just published 2 new tracks after almost 2 months break (ugh..) - have had so big changes (and am still having) in the so-called "real life" (into the off duty period from work, into university studies) that I havent had time & energy to play with TS recently. Until the weekend that just passed :)

The 2 new tracks are in the archive file at my TS page. Other of the two new tracks is somewhat twisted & lengthy jumps'n'river thing (about ~60 seconds laptime) and the other one is faster, not at all twisted track (about 25 seconds). Enjoy ... ;)

I downloaded all the tracks there were. Drove em all once thru (before writing this). I had already few "JA_..." tracks, but most of the tracks were new to me in any case. Overall very nice tracks. Let's see:

+ Good track designs and
+ Mainly nice "environment" outlook too
+ Some tracks managed to be even a bit surprising & untypical, radical

- Some very small graphical "bugs" (tile layout; gaps visible)
- Some tracks have pitlane, drivable etc, but if you decide to take a risk (narrow lane, walls, crashing) and drive thru them, you won't get a lap! Not very nice if you ask me (these were in "JA_..." tracks). If you make a drivable pitlane, make it so that driving thru it won't be punished (and if it forms a shortcut, the shortcut should be just a small one, good driving & risktaking might pay off etc).
- Some tracks with arrows on the roads (pointing where to drive), otherwise very nice tracks, but in places where roads cross, you should put arrow into middle of crossing too, so that drivers know surely where to go from crossing (there was at least one track where you could drive continue into 2-3 directions after city'like crossing - arrows pointing into each direction further down the roads, but no signs in the crossing itself, bit lunatic on the first 1-2 laps at least, before you get to know how it went)

That's it, hope this feedback helps. Overall very nice tracks, the problems that I mentioned aren't that big - and it seemed that there weren't bad shortcuts etc (though I aint the expert on testing them, heh).

 And what a fitting place to mention that I added again 2 new tracks into my tracks package ... ;)

My record for the Projection track is 6.605.

I suggest a jump on that track to prevent someone like me from driving back and forth on the straight in the middle...

I've made a new track. Try it out and let me know if anything needs fixing.
The track is Swedish F1 track Anderstorp.

I plan to make the two shorter "south circuit" and "north circuit" variations as well.
Cheers!

South Circuit was a quick fix, so I've added that one as well.

I didn't have time to test the track yet but at least the image looks very good :).

Thanks!

It's pretty obviously a "speeder track", but I think it's a pretty fast track in reality as well. The shorter variations are more balanced. Especially the North Circuit, which is finished now as well. Didn't require as much work as I had imagined to crop it down.

Hi dby!
I really liked your tracks!

Very nice work, i wonder how did you split the main circuit in two? could you explain us?

I drove it with V-F5, this car is perfect for these tracks!!!

It's not hard. I just copied the original trk file, opened it with Notepad and edited. Erased any object positioned over 1300 for the South Circuit and changed the width to 1300. Then opened it with the editor and fixed any gaps along the edge. Same thing with North Circuit - but I erased anything below 1000. Then I subtracted all positions by 1000 for the objects that were left. I also cropped the bottom edge on this one - but that's the same procedure as cropping the right edge - and then resize and edit the edges.

The numbers in the trk file are Tile ID, X position, Y position and Rotation.
