Illegal street racing

Post by dby » Thu Nov 17, 2005 4:34 am

New track: Dby-Illegal_street_racing_01

I've tried to make the streets as realistic as possible in scale and layout. So because there's a highway stretch, makes it an obvious speeder track. But there are also some really narrow streets - the on/off-ramps and through the suburbian neighbourhood.

And there's a hidden stunt bonus shortcut, tho the only thing you'll gain is the coolness because it's actually a bit slower. There are some clues on the map to where shortcut is... and it's not going to the other side of the highway under a bridge, you'll miss some checklines. And it's not squeezing barely between something with a speeder, tho you'll need a speeder, slider or something similar fast.

Hopefully this is the first track in a series, at least I enjoyed driving it very much. Hope you will as well.

Cheers!

Nice track dby. I notice that shortcut is about 4seconds slow with speeder and difficult to drive. So i think it stupid to drive that way but if someone drives it then it is bad for other drivers because you have to take speed for that jump. And then you have to drive other way that should be but only short time. So there will be collisions if someone tries that shortcut.

Yeah, blocking other drivers would definetly bring down the coolness factor.
