RallyCross

Post by dby » Mon Jan 07, 2008 2:42 am

Here's a new RallyCross track, I've worked on it for three days. It's called Evel Knievel because of the huge jump across the road.

Get all four RallyCross tracks in this pack: http://hem.spray.se/dby/ts/DbyRallyCross0.4.1.zip

PS. Best used with sliding cars, anti is no fun on gravel.

Edit: fixed a small naming convention problem, I guess this will erase any lap records up until now, sorry about that.

I tried them and I confirm that they are fun. As I suggested, he could organize some cups using them. Maybe on community server ;)

Thanks! I've been thinking about setting up a server on my laptop, but I don't know if the connection is good enough and I don't have a first clue on how to set up an auto server... should look in to that, but trackmaking is more fun.

A cup could be fun. Since there are only four tracks so far, maybe something like 20 laps, fuel and damage... semi-rough?

How do you create them this fast?:O Anyway, last one seems to be quite similar to that Jarno's track which used the same mirroring effect.

Yeah, I wanted to try to make a track like that. You only have to think about half track, the rest will be automatic :D

Here we go.. the results of track-making the last month :D

First 2 "simple" Rough-racing tracks.

WatchOut can be downloaded on my webiste, but CrazyIce will first be ready for download after the Track Making Competetion :)

Now "Basket-Arena", which is a BasketBall-mod. The rules are very simple, try to get the ball into the basket. It will register as a "goal" when it cross the white line (on the floor). Inside the basket it's very bouncy, so most of the times it cross, but if it don't you have to jump into the basket and push it (the rule here is that you may not block your opponents). If you jump into the basket, it's possible to jump back on track (you see how ingame).

The track is best with "Mini-Punaball" (which can be downloaded on my site). Off course you can play it with normal Punaball, but it's very hard to score. Oh, and by the way! Thx a lot to Tijny who has made the floor in the track (damn good looking).

Basket-Arena can be downloaded at my site!

Image

And finally, TeamPlay! :D
Maybe someone have seen it in the youtube-film. It's about helping each other trough the track. One player on each team is Speeder, and the rest is Antislider (you can play more than just 2 teams). When you download the track there will be a "1" and "2" - read about that and some more in the Read-me-file.

The idear is developed by Xerez and me :)

TeamPlay can be downloaded at my site!

(and yes, I know the Track Packs aren't working, but I will fix that soon!)
In my new website you can find my tracks and cars!

Hope you will enjoy!

That's simply a great idea. Very hard to score and games are funny. I prefer the normal punaball, but this mod is really well implemented. Nice.
