New track: Adelaide F1 circuit.

Post by captainpotato » Sat Feb 05, 2005 1:33 pm

Just a quick message to let you know that I've uploaded my new track to a temporary page on my website. The track is a rendition of the old Adelaide Formula One circuit that hosted the Australian Grand Prix from 1985 to 1995.

Like the original, it's quick in places and tight and twisty in others. It's a fair recreation (IMO), although the farm houses do look a little out of place in recreating the street track feel ;)

You can download the track at http://www.tapirdesign.com/sliders.html.

Nice street track design, probably lots of collisions with many cars :). One thing about the zip file - I guess that the other png file (the one without -pat.png) does not have to be included or what is its purpose?

Just like the real thing - Hill/Schumacher in 1994, the couple of wet races in 1989 and 1991, Alesi/Schumacher in 1995, to name but a few ;) Damn, how I wish that the race was still here and not in Melbourne. Apart from the fact it's closer, the track is so much more fun :)

Ah... that would be... I don't know. I thought that the editor created it, so I bundled it up. I'll take it out - done now.
