This is a cup I'm planning to organize, if we have enough players willing to join it. The idea would be to exclude all good players from this cup (so that newbies will actually have a chance to win), and to train newcomers to race with default cars.

First of all I'd like to know if there are newbies reading this forum with constancy, and who would be interested in joining the cup.

Average players could be allowed to join at first tournament too.

You know as well as I do that I wasn't being serious. I'm just saying that in some cases it will be hard to determine whether someone is a "newbie" or not, especially since you didn't give any set requirements. Anyway, good luck with this.

Anyway, I think I can be categorized as an average player, but I'm not really interested in joining this, because I really like the idea of the cup and it SHOULD be reserved for rookies in the real meaning of the phrase.
I'd like to spectate and root for somebody, though!

I bet this cup could be cool to all new/average players.

One way to sort out "top players" could be just excluding all players that have won a single race in IRT or IHLC history (JJT too?). Then some exceptions also, like Etana and Peto! (not sure if they have won), who both are obviosly top players, just a bit unactive top players

I have won at least some antislider and maybe slider parts in older IRT and IHLC cups! Currently position in top 6 might be tight in those (driving regularly with that F1 has affected "little bit" to default car driving...)

Any actual newcomer posted yet?

Maybe we should do little advertisement for this in servers?

Good idea, I'll just wank a million laps with F1 cars, so that I'll be average with default cars. Then I can join this cup!

Yeh, no newcomers posted yet. Apparently newcomers don't even know about this forum

This cup should be a way to train newcomers with default cars. If no newcomers want to take part, then the cup is useless.

I think I am an average driver nowadays. There are so many faster drivers than me. And in every cup I'm glad if I manage to get top8.

And it's been years now since I have won races in cups and cups too..

Okay, I think I will organize something in next weeks. Everybody will be welcome except Tijny. From cup to cup, more players will be "banned", but for the first cup this is okay.

If this works, this cup will be organized once or twice per month (maybe even the same day as IHLC/IRT, so players could join both competitions easily).

Well, what I meant was something like this. If player has been a top player, but has been unactive for a long time, he still has the idea of TS driving in his spine. So with a quite small amount of driving, he'll quickly gain ~90-95% of his old top speed. And that is way more than newcomers speed.

Just wanted to explain what I meant, I think dede's list of restricted players is just great
