I should be offended, it's really not about that. I would've lost badly on any other track because I'm really not that into default cars anymore.Whiplash wrote:"dede, you should change the rules about this tournament a little bit. Tracks should be released in the future. I couldn't win last time because of you."

Yeah man, I totally agree with you.Now seriously, It could be better to change it. Tracks could be released one week before.
Anyhoo, the rules will not be changed, it would take away the whole idea behind the cup.
If tracks were released before the cup then you would have some players wank 10,000 laps and finish a lot higher than where they normally would have if nobody had driven the track. Then, the results wouldn't reflect who is actually fastest, but who had wanked the most. And so, it would be a completely different cup.Whiplash wrote:I just needed some reason and then ask for a little change there. Maybe races would be much tighter with it.
I give you the results for my very first official cup race, where the track was available - and the results of my first IRT (just antislider in fact, so same car), where the track wasn't available - and I'll let you spot how much of a difference lap-wanking can make... in particular, pay attention to the results of me and Scud.

Releasing the track before would give an advantage to those who have a lot of time available to train. If all players trained enough, I believe there wouldn't be big changes in final standings. If TS players were professional drivers, I would have no problems releasing the track (I'm having fun training and planning fuel strategies, e.g. in past GPOR F1 Leagues). But since this isn't possible, it sounds more fair to me to keep the track unreleased, so that players skills (pace, concentration, pressure handling...) will really make the difference.iBlaze² wrote:If tracks were released before the cup then you would have some players wank 10,000 laps and finish a lot higher than where they normally would have if nobody had driven the track.
Cup hoster and track author will always have the advantage of knowing the track before the competition, but that's not a big advantage anyway (unless you train, obviously).
