I think it should be something like
1st: 15 points
2nd: 12 points
3rd: 10 points
4th: 8 points
5th: 6 points
6th: 5 points
7th: 4 points
8th: 3 points
9th: 2 points
10th: 1 point
10 people getting points is enough, I guess. There is a 3 points gap between 1st-2nd and a 2 points gap between the 2nd-3rd, 3rd-4th and 4th-5th. This serves as a stimulus to make that final effort to be with the top players.
Some people might be discouraged for not getting any points. In this case, I'd suggest using the same point system of F1 Season, half for each race. Otherwise, in the end of the season you will have to deal with 3 digits numbers, which might be a pain. The problem with this solution is that you'd have to deal with decimals, which can be an even bigger pain.

I mean, in skiing you have 3 and 4 digit numbers every season.

if we give points only to ten people we have a problem, since ballast settings are based on championship standings! to much people without points! people waiting to get last, would make no sense to become 11th after 1 race day!

hi lanz i want to try to run your cup, i am currenet banned in forum and in tijny full concact server, i really this was a hard punishement. but seeems the cup will be in your server, so i think i am free to play. i never do nothing against you, and i dont have nothing against dede or tijny... cheeers
