Hey everyone, I hope lanz doesn't mind that I'm advertising on his competition thread but I would like everyone to know that "potentially" directly after the race, there will be a SCARTS race @ Bristol or a different track (TBD). Well that was fun - I dont say that about racing often.
Race 1: 12.th 2 mistakes on last lap cost me 2 places
Race 2: first corner - fail. dropped last and fought my way up to 10.th
my fastest lap times were quite good even when compared to dede, so had potential to do quite a bit better. Then again in test races I screwed up in every other lap, so all in all Im quite pleased.

Short overview on my playe in 1st race.
Qualy: solid, 13th on grid, i think I could do better.
1st race: Quite good, I was around 10th position, and then I made few errors that caused ending on 16th place.
2nd race: 3rd on grid, low fuel on tank, I knew what I have to do - Hold my fingers steady and keep everyone behind me. I realised that Robby was right behind me (2nd place), and then I knew I caould get some time with it. Soon I saw Pom in my mirrors ... he tried to close the gap, and soon he did it. Then dede came, I let him thru without any special fight (since i was chasing Pom (I can't belive I was chasing Pom :O), and in the end, Linarn overtook me. 4th position, nice result for me \o/
Hope that the rest of the season will be like 2nd race

Race #1
Had some nice battles with Lirarn. When I finally drove away from him I found myself stuck on a tree because of a warp. Fourth place, drivers ahead were driving quite fast. I pushed to my limit and I managed to catch the leader (Etmil) a couple of laps before the end, but he didn't open any door until I made a grass-cut that costed me the possibility to battle with him in final lap. Congratulations to first race winner of 2011!
Race #2
Start was nice, my goal was not to wreck anybody. Maybe I went too safe, so people like Lirarn gained too many spots! My comeback was quite quick, Etmil and Lirarn failed to follow me. I didn't expect to catch leaders so easily, but Jaykoq did a great job with Mister Pom: slowed by 1sec/lap? When Pom overtook him I was just one second behind, so it was quite easy for me to catch him. My overtaking wasn't very clean, but nobody can say that I treated him like a dirty dog!
Sorry for forgetting 20 laps on second race, luckily nobody seemed to complain (except my hands)! Congrats for the cup hoster, great races!

Nice cup. My two cents:
Warm up:I had a bit of lag but it was good enough to give me an idea or what it was. The problem was that I was still in RDP mode lol. So I made the curve and the car wouldn't go and I'd go outside the track lol. Still, it was fun.
Qualy: Not very nice qualy. I expected something like top 3. All I managed to get was top 7. Very disappointing, considering I am the lion of fast lap and turtle in race. I was faster in race than in qualy. Not good for my team haha. Still it was decent enough to have a shot.
Race 1: Overall mediocre. I finished 5th but I kept struggling with the track. People were much faster than I was. I kept trying to get close to Lanz but I couldn't. Lirarn also. I just couldn't keep my pace. Considering all that, 5th was average.
Race 2: This is when things got better for me. I had two concerns. First was not to be kamizased. Second was to get away from the slower players first than my adversaries. That's exactly what I did. Soon I was chasing Jaykoq. He was much faster and the fuel difference was making it really hard for me to get close, especially in straights. I had to get all the difference in the curves. I did that, but I took so long to pass him that eventually Dede came. I passed Jay but Dede did also. So the last 5 laps or something were of a huge pressure, because Dede was much faster even with more fuel. I was not pushing as hard as I could because I was afraid I'd go out. Dede passed me. I then decided to not give a f*** and try to pass him again. I did it, after he blocked me and very nicely let me pass. I didn't take him long to pass me again, though. I tried everything I could until the end but it was useless. The guy is just very precise on track. 2nd place was very good, though. I was going to dedicate my victory to Reirom. Well, maybe next time.

This ruined my best lap and the lap after that because of my lack of speed on the main straight. Last lap was also rubbish. I think i could have been around 5th place if I didnt go wide, it must have costed me athleast half a second.
Race 1:
Good start, stayed out of trouble and got a very cool overtake on a yellow car in the corner at the bottom left of the map. Then I had some interesting battles with popowitch and some others. Then I went wide on the first corner which ruined my chances for a good solid result. Still got 8th place, so was ok,
Race 2:
Again lots of fighting and sorry to say, some pushing aswell. I hope I didn't pissed off some people, but when so close to eachother it is hard to judge peoples lines. Especialy if your trying diffrent lines yourself to overtake people in front of ya. Ofcourse I made some mistakes again, and lost some places.
But I fought myself back to tenth place and was gaining in on the group Popowithc-Lux, and some others.
Then out of the blue, I warped when Robby left, and I crashed. This costed me a place to my new teammate which was realy going strong in the second race. I managed to catch him and we had about 4 laps of realy close and fair wheelbanging racing. I overtook him, but he was flying and braking later with his well prepped team FUNgus car. I think he had the new front wing aswell.
Anyway, he passed me again on a nice move on the 2nd last lap, but I was right in his gearbox. I tried to focus myself to take some advantage if he would make a mistake, but he drove flawless to the finish.
Great job Xzeal! Great battle!
So overall, I enjoyed this event, but it's a shame It didnt payed out so well for me in the results of both races.(although 8th in race one is not bad ofc) I think in race two, that without the warp I could have joined the battle with the group in front of me, and who knows what would have happend then.
Looking forward to the next race. This is just so much fun! I hope everyone feels the same! Thanks to Lanz for this awsome cup, and ofc. thanks for all involved helping him. And last but not least. Congratulations to Etmil and Dede, race winners of round 1 and 2!

very pleased how the first race day was! also the ballast setting is working very well! jaycoq is a good example for that, he made a good race and got a nice 4th place in 2race! congratz!
i was a bit worried, 18players and reversed starting grid, but from my point of view everthing went very smooth and i heard no complainings! the hard line pays off!
quali was good of course! got a nice 3th place, exactly that what i expected! race1 was also good some mistakes like always and some nice and fair fights! got a nice 3th place, not even 1sec behind dede, amazing!
race2 started awesome gained a lot of positions already in the beginning! tried to go with pom wich was not possible, i was still in no fuel mode! i was fighting again with Lirarn like in race1 but this time i made the mistake and lost connection to him! to the end i was coming closer to jay but i couldnt catch him anymore! still a nice 5th place!
all in all very happy!
@jay: you put wrong points! winner should have 25 pointsetc. as you can see on 1page! but its no problem we can go with that system also!
@ranee: your doing no favour to yourself starting with 100% instead of 32% of fuel!next time type:
/startfuel 32 (for example)

Ehrm, I wouldn't say that this driving style is considered gentlemen rules. I would call it blocking. Changing line in order to steal speed from car behind is forbidden -> and he did that twice (first to the right, then to the left).
