I just watched Tijny's lap, but I have not a clue what I do wrong.

How can I loose 6 tenths while driving the same lines? Do I brake to late, or to early... Should I hold the throttle while braking. Or when braking for the hairpins, should I already use the trottle a bit at the mid-end part of the braking zone...

Please help, cause this is starting to piss me off a bit.
If you have a video, I'd be happy to compare your lap to mine and maybe give you some pointers. But, it could very well be that you drive the same lines as me, just a bit slower in every turn.

Cool, how do I extract my fastest lap out of a replay of 20 laps?

Just run the replay, and then pres f4 to record part of the replay. Or just send him whole replay. He will do it by himself.

Thanks Whip, got it! 8)

Here is my pb lap:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?e64nuzd3sd29skd

Funny, or depressing thing is. That lap is horrible at some points, and that is what sucks the most. Why is that lap, my pb... slower then all the zillion other ones I did wich felt like awsome laps...

I shall post an example of such a feelable good lap, tommorow.

Looking forward to your opinion Tijny. I do think the first fast corners are as good as it gets though. ;)

@ Arjen:
Tijny vs. Arjen.tsr

You can see that at the end of the first fast combination, you brake after the apex and so you're instantly a tenth of a second behind me. The few corners after that are very good (the difference doesn't get any bigger), that is until you hit the sand - otherwise a nice line by you. In the hairpin that follows you screw up your braking a bit by braking in 2 parts, and because I carry more speed onto the straight that follows, the gap grows from 0.2 to 0.4 seconds just like that. In the difficult hairpin combination a bit later on you had an awesome line, I guess that's the only part of your lap that was faster than mine. In the final turn you went quite wide again, I guess you lost that last tenth of a second there. All in all not much I can say about your driving lines, but it's clear that most of those 5 tenths were lost in a single part of the track.

@ Ranee:
Tijny vs. Ranee.tsr

Here you can see the importance of good starting speed - because I had more speed coming out of the last corner, you immediately lose a tenth of a second in the first section. Also, you were a little too enthusiastic in the fast turn before the first hairpin - you can see that I sacrificed some speed there in order to be lined up well for said hairpin. Nice lap all in all in all, even though you kinda messed up the last corner. ;)

And for funzies: Arjen vs. Ranee.tsr

Haha fine :)

Tijny vs. Lanz

This shows that your lap is as good as mine in many places - except for that one hairpin. You went a bit wide there compared to me, but more importantly, you started accelerating again well after the apex (ideally that would be just before the apex), which easily costs you 0.150 seconds on the straight that follows. Great lap, other than that - especially your line in the first slower turn made me cream my pants. :D

Thanks for the nice feedback Myself and others can learn from this, so a massive thumbs up for your efforts. 8)

I am working on the hairpin, but it is so hard to get that one right. Still is hard to cope with the fact that you can loose about 4 tenths there. It feels a bit unfair driving awsome laps and still have such a loss on one part of the track. It does make sense ofcouse because it's a long acceleration run towards the next braking zone.

I will keep training, and will get closer.

Thanks Tijny!

Cya all later in the race!

(going for top 5!)

Btw, my Team FUNgus car has some new updates and I have a new engineer called Murray. This, because my previous engineer had the awsome idea to install a new seat made of poison Ivy leaves... (what was he thinking!!!)

Murray also does all my PR work, so that is quite a relief for me.

So to conclude,. Be afraid! Very afraid! Bwahawahahaha!

hehe! thx T!
its very nice when you have something to compare! i already knew that i lost something on the hairpin but not that it was almost all! very nice! took me zillion laps to do it and still i can do better!
1st slower corner was awesome but i lost a bit there too! i was not used to take following corner so far on the outside, thats why i braked a bit to much, following that i had to lift the gas quickly in order to take the fast chicanes good, befor the hairpin!
gives me some great motivation! hopefully i can keep that pace for other tracks also since this one is in my top 5! nice work!

I got like 41.7xx after like 20 laps. That's all I'm willing to wank on this one. I don't like this track too much. I will race and try to learn it "on the job". :D

Wow, I sucked. LOL. 5th is okay but I was pretty much pushed around on start and I made mistakes too. Well, I didn't have great expectations for this one.

When will the next F1 cup happen? I miss unreleased tracks a bit haha.

Wop! Top guys were quite faster than me, but after 15 laps I managed to find a good and quick line. Driving constant laps made me reach and overtake both Lanz and Alex. Excellent result by me, qualify lap included! Zero training, ready for F1 league? Yep :)

I'm not sure if this was me, but I apologise if it was - I lost connection half way through the race so I couldn't do anything about it, but if it was my car causing problems then I'm sorry. Thanks for the race.

Nobody doing practice runs?

I just did a 37.283 (If I recall corectly, it was definitly a 37.2)

I might even get a 36 I think, but it needs to be a flawless lap, so I will probably never drive it hehe.

How about you guys?

Tried some laps, got a 36.908. Far from perfect, but not sure if I'm motivated enough to do better.
