Hi guys!

I did lot of "winter testing" and had really high hopes before this weekend. And it all started so well:
Track was made by Wokinger, who is my favourite "herr Tilke"

Practice 1: First ever win! (ok ok, I know that doesn't mean anything, but it still feels special for a rookie

Quali: Best quali ever, P6, with only 3 laps.

RACE: Good start and up to P5 after first corners...but then it all fell apart:

I don't know whatta hell happened there, Hevonen?! Well, its a technical sport, what can you do

I lost lot of positions and momentum but fortunately was still able to keep my head cold and carry on.

8 good laps with Pingu. He was all over the place and we had some really nice battles.

..until the second WTF moment hit:

...computer monitor stopped working and I had to quickly switch on the other one

lost ca 10 seconds.

After that it was still interesting and good racing with my old friends: xzeal and Popo

But all in all it was good race and lot of WHAT IF's for me

But I'm really looking forward to next sunday.

PS: Guys, still no FUEL & TYRE strategy in the F1 Practice Server. Can somebody organize it and make the necessary changes to the server? Like it was in the good old days: 8 laps & 2-3 stops? Thank You very much for that!

Im very sorry about that. Suddenly huge lag hitted me and I lost all control of my car. Then I was on the last place and lost all motivation to drive. Next month im moving and there is proper internet connection so all lags should be gone. Until then I don't take part.

Thx. Anyway I see that tilke corners don't work as I predicted. There is too many agressive attacks. We will see if i use them again..

it seems that you're becoming faster, but more agressive. Watch your 1st corner (1 lap). IMO it was illegal and u shouln't have done it, but if you had done it, you should have given positions back..

The same (but less agressive) 1st corner (11 lap) and 11th corner (10 lap).

u should remember that it's expected to drive the more fair the faster u are.

I think that is one of the reasons it takes like a minute to start turbosliders..

The long waiting when the game starts is just because of tracks loading: the more you have, the more you wait. If it takes long to quit, then it's because of "Generate HTML records on exit" option. But I believe you got that option off already, otherwise your game from yesterday should've quit about.... NOW!

You could try to take recording off and maybe change video driver, not sure if either one of those is the problem. Also, check what happens with your PC RAM and CPU load.. Maybe you are running some programs in background?

You have to remember that if you pit one lap earlier, you gain about 1sec (if I drive perfect lap, otherwise more) in your pit-out lap because of new tyres. Anyway, my plan was to keep the last pit as a spash-n-go, so I actually didn't expect to stay in front of you after first pit

I really enjoyed the track, but nothing really worked with my speed and constancy. I was kind of demotivated seeing that Tijny didn't show up, I seriously hope he comes back from next race.

My quali lap was supposed to be enough for the pole position, but it was okay to start second behing a player with much lower fuel. My start was good, but after some corners Wokinger catched me and we had a contact. That probably caused the unlucky accident between Hevonen and Mrtn.

First two stints were insteresting as I enjoyed catching Lanz and battling with him, third stint was a bit boring but very nice if we look at average speed.

Actually, before I was much rougher and tried to block & dive as much as I could. But now I still want to drive like that (lol) but I understand that it is illegal and usually I'm pretty good fighting with my instincts

Watch your 1st corner (1 lap). IMO it was illegal and u shouln't have done it, but if you had done it, you should have given positions back..

Yes, I agree with you. It was bad miscalculation from my part. But as you said, it was a 1st corner incident. And in F1 stewards usually don't penalize 1st lap incidents (except First Lap Nutcase Grosejan's moves:)

Here you're wrong. F1 stewards always penalize if u overtake sb by cutting corner.

Ok, finally some time to make my small race review!

Didnt raced for more then 1 month and only did a couple of laps in the afternoon to get a bit of the grip of the car again.

I really enjoyed the track even though i think i couldnt find how to drive it at its best, so i think i was loosing something like 1/2s per lap compared with faster drivers.
There was no PreQ, so it meant directly to Pro Race, even though im starting to be more confident in my skills to at least reach this race.

Q got a comfortable 10th place. Race started and as usual loads of traffic made it chaotic, and i never know how to behave when i get hit from behind and then cause of that i hit another guy making him go wide. What shall i do? Shall i let anyone pass? Hmmm, hard decision!

Again, track was great but race itself i have to admit was really boring as i almost didnt had any company whole race and in the end i got a 10th place with 7s Advance for the 11th and 7s delay to the 9th.

So, no change at all. I guess my place on Q really says how fast i am related to others, it happened before!
Will be there next Sunday hoping for a bit more fun/fights...

PS: If someone can clarify me something would be great. Even though i have this thread marked, i dont receive emails reporting a new post. Well, sometimes i do but lately not. Any idea? And no, they are not in SPAM folder and i use Gmail.
Its kind of nerving....

Uhm, no idea about this.. I'll try to sign up to this topic as well and I will report the result to you.

Anyway, I will be prolly busy till Saturday, so race replay and results won't come soon. Sorry for this delay

For example, now i received the mail saying that there is a new post on this thread but all the posts since the championship stopped for the winter break till yesterday, i didnt received anything, even though there was quite some posts.

My internet is back! We are still on the slow patetic package but at least I have WIRED, reliable internet now!!!! This weekend we will upgrade to fibre optic package total fast speed! Hopefully before the race

Yes I plan to make videos of this season of F1... if I can get the necessary help of course for this big task!

Hmmm...ok, what do you mean for help? Tell me exactly what you would need. Maybe i could help you with something even if i dont have much time to spend but....i can try to find some cause the videos are really worth it and cool!

Hey all.

I made this quite a while ago already, but thought I'd share it here if anybody needs help. This is what I use for my fuel calculation in all TSE races. An .xls file that you can open, input the details of the race at hand, your laptime etc and get a fuel calculation.

How To Use

1) change the track name if you want (right now there's TSE_Kangaroo)
2) after the warmup or pre-qualification, type in your average laptime in the correct box
3) ask dede how many laps there will be in the qualification and in the race, then type in the numbers in the correct boxes, your average amount of fuel consumption per lap will be calculated automatically
4) decide how many stops you want to do and again, type the number in the correct box, the amount of stints will be calculated automatically
5) now you can decide if you want to have almost equal stints or maybe the 1st one longer, 2nd/3rd shorter, for this you can first check the box that says 'average number of laps per stint' and according to that number you can work out your laps per stint in boxes B5 - B8. Bear in mind that the qualification laps will be added to your 1st stint, that is why there is a box to the right that says 15, which is 9 + 6 there in the example. But you only have to insert your desired laps for stint 1 (and then, for all others, too). The box C5 is just for calculation. Also, when working out our laps for stints / race strategy, remember to check the box below that says sum of laps. This has to, of course, match the amount of laps that will be in the race. Easy to check this way if your stints add up correctly.
6) If you've got the stints inserted, everything will be calculated for you. 'Pitstop on lap' is the number you will see in the top left corner of the screen when racing, so when it says like 5/36 you will be currently on your 6th lap. But the table will show you when you have to prepare. And, of course, you will get the amounts you have to fill in during the pitstops.

lol its way handier to just calc it manually or during the race you just need to make sure your last and second last stint are the same amount of laps... this way you can do it even more precise in practice.

Also your excel could have been alot simpler, and you should make it that it automatically changes the lay out if you alter the amount of pit stops :p. I checked it quickly but if you put pitstops low all the stints are still there

Yeah you got to insert all the stints yourself, since not everybody wants to have them equally divided throughout the race, sometimes. Anyway, it's not the best calculator, but it's still something. You are free to use it as it is, change it however you want etc. I made it for myself a while ago and although I'm not an expert in Excel, I still managed to make it fairly good, I think. So whoever wants to, can use it

You don't have to if you prefer to calculate during the race.. as for myself, I like to focus more on the driving.

Race review:

Q 12th couldnt memorize almost a single turn due to some shots before the race (I mean alcohol)

On Race, ended 17th!!! A bit disappointing but....it made my day that i could keep the pace with Pingu (2th) in the final laps. I was even faster them him. I let him pass easy cause i was being overlapped but then i didnt let him go away and was even faster.
I tried to play fair so i hope i havent damaged anyone´s race. I know there was some contact in the begging of race but i think it was quite fair i would say. Sorry Mike at some poiunt...i think we had contact but...i wasnt supposed to let you pass after that cause it was involuntary i guess...

Had some fun. Not the best race but....

Conclusion: "Dont drink and drive!!!!"

I will not be on next race unfortunately!

Oh well some top drivers missing, well atleast Tijny! Don't know if I'am forgetting others but WOA second place! My best result to date

. I think I ended up in every place now but first lol.

I missed the start lol I throttled to early, lost some positions but with all the bumping and stuff i ended backup in third somehow

After that a very nice battle with Etmil lol, I wondered if he somehow setted to much startfuel because I had the feeling I was faster. I once gave position back after I bumped a bit or atleast made a wide corner. I coudnt remember if i roughed or not in the heat of the moment.

After he pitted it was quite a lonely race for me

During the end I was lapping Alfonso but he seemd on better tires and also on low fuel so his pace was quite fast. He almoust gave me a heart attack twice, with a close bridge moment, if I crashed there Lanz would have certainly overtook me! Luckily everything went okay

Horrible start and first couple laps. My race was ruined pretty much before it even started, too many crashes. I quess this was my last race for this season, no time to practise and without practise I will be racing for last positions which doesnt really motivate me... About the track, it sucked...

Pingu, I actually think hat I had less fuel than you but I just couldn't make the best of it and slowed down more due to the 'extra speed'.
Anyway, race was nice and cosy. Some battling with dede and Pingu.. then after a while I was thinking where Lanz was.. and then in the end he had overtaken me secretly in the pitstops, obviously. I hoped to at least make the podium but I was too f*** slow on opening laps and perhaps my 3 stop didn't work as well as I thought.. I opted for it, because I saw the track was quite fast with at least 2 straights, so that is why. Pitstop and everything went well. All in all, quite a good race. Pingu and lanz are always fast and dede.. pff of course no hope to fight with him like EVER.

Start was ok but the longer the race went worse I drove. Had to even make 3rd stop because fuel seemed to run out. In the end it could have been enough because I didn't consider that getting lapped means one less lap to drive.

At some point race got really difficult because other drivers behind me got faster and passed me and I lost some confidence

. I also must apologize to lanz whose race line I accidently blocked while trying to give way (25th lap or 24/31)

szymek66 nicely let me pass when I hit the bridge after a little battle. I don't think that was necessary but thanks anyway.
