Just for fun, I created a page for the overall standings of this competition.
I saved the files on my server, so this page does not use resources of the Tijny server.

I'm available to import this software on the official site of turbosliders, in order to share the code (bad and so messy) and to have a page like www.turbosliders.com/cups/weeklyetc
I could also improve it in order to help manage the cups to all the Server Admins, with APIs or something...
maybe I'll contact dede

I know that Tijny has, actually, worked on overall ranking by him self. I' not sure whether he really gave up from it after I made some jokes, or he just wanted to keep working on it in silence.
Anyway, I believe that Overall ranking would work differently than just simply summarize all of the points (in order to give chance to all new players to still get in the competition).

hmm i got a personal related question

could you merge the points from races 1-8 with the current week as i have abandoned the nickname Jurgen-NL and started to drive with [FTR]Jurgen-NL,

note: in week 8 i also did drive a few sessions with the new nick but i wouldn't want those points also to be added on your page just the the 1 from week 9 (this week), i know if everyone asked you the same you get a lot of work as more people drive with different nicknames for instance tijny with iziwyn, Reirom with PEACE, Badeend and Badeend :p you get what i mean

if not that's okay but i wont have much value from the first 8 weeks which would make me kind of sad, to keep the overall standings in check like this is quite nice especially for the battle i have for 3rd place with Kyna_Musti as i learned his lines today and improved and gave him advice which made him improve as well

I noticed that someone has 9 races, although it's only been 8 weeks, because sometime some name appears two times in the original standings.
i'll try to fix it by discarding the second entry

maybe in another competition.
in this one, the ranking of each week counts the average points made by all the cars, so i do not think separate standings are required. at least until they change the rules of the competition, but it is at the discretion of tijny

That's not me, it's some Finnish dude. I suspect it might be Janne, but I cannot be sure... his laptimes are not quite Janne-esque either.

I had the same suspicion. But his lap times are far from what Janne could do.

God damn, find us a way to download those video recordings. I wanna see that Speeder lap. If you can't provide us an automatic link of the video, I'll rather say it's a cheat.
Even if the video doesn't contain the extracted lap, it will still be good to have it. Just try to find a way to allow us downloading the .tsr file as it's saved on the server. We can extract the certain lap manually.
Good thing would be to allow that only after a weekly session is over, so that people can't steal the driving line during the ongoing session.

God damn, I don't know of any easy and robust ways to automate that. But since you insist, and I was interested to see the video myself, here is the Speeder video you asked for. Pretty slow first few corners as you can see, but the rest of the lap was pretty yummy.

I expect at least a 23.3 from you later today.

That is so weird. I thought I'll see something more different in your line. I can see where you probably got the advantage, but it's still weird how big that difference is.
Our line is basically the same. You were just much quicker when going out from the curves.

I was thinking... what if we stick to about 9 tracks per year (season) instead of having so big randomized track pack? That way we'll be able to make more sense in the competition. After those 9 are played once, they'll be repeated again (4 times each, I guess) - until the season is over. Then we'll pick 9 new tracks for the next season, etc.
That way more people will have a chance to drive each of the tracks and we'll get bigger battle overall. Also, the competition will get some goal if this is implemented and potential ranking will be easier to organize and be able to have some extra info like (overall lap time difference that we had here).
