Thanks. I'll use that to better Analise the best laps done by the competition without having to fast forward several laps.power79 wrote: You can check my tool from above link. But if you just want to cut part of a video you can watch the recording in Turbo Sliders and press F4(recording) to start making video clip and then F4 again to end it. Saved clip should then be in "video" folder.
Re: Formula 1 World Championship #1
Let's keep the conversation going. Seems many of us like statistics so as I have free time tomorrow, I try to extract some info from the race video file. First thing I was able to get was our start reaction times. Accuracy is 0.02 seconds as you can see.

But hey, no one accelerated too early, right?

@power/Badeend
Nice stats, power! Nice 1st and 2nd graph there, Bade! Poor Jormeli, driving all alone in the end, silently winning some decent amount of points though..

I wasn't cruising, I'm simply slow because of various reasons:Mike Nike wrote:@Silcir/dede
First time i tried that car, i was 1-3 seconds (track depending) slower than the record as well. I'm sure, you guys will catch up, if you just practice a little. Although watching dede race, it kinda felt like he is more chilling and having fun cruising than trying any serious... yet! Which is fine too, though!
- long time without playing
- playing on the sofa with stupid laptop (I had a great desktop back then, but I moved and I don't have a room for that)
- I lost some competitiveness maybe, but actually I couldn't push any harder than that
- car is hard to handle compared to other TS cars, or at least that's the feeling..
Battling with you guys will not be possible anymore, unless my gf up breaks with me and I go back to my old desktop

Re: Formula 1 World Championship #1
Excellent job Power, very appreciated!
Judging my numbers I think my driving style is a bit too aggressive but as long as I can manage tyres' decay while racing I'm not worried. I didn't expect to have spent so much time offroad to be honest, even cause I remember I made a good sequence throughout the race. Apparently, those few times I failed Turns I stayed out for a bit too much
Oh, I think laf broke the system somehow. Check live times of new track :p

Woo, awesome, power-ful stats!
Winner of 4 golden Ecos^^, what what
I wanna thank the Power Algorithm Company, Chuck Norris (for not taking part) and REIROM (for not taking part)...and Ande, a tiny bit Tijny, Bade in the end, also dedecating the wins to ecogenious dede... but not to Whip, because i cant see any word jokes i can do with your name right now..
Ok, jokes aside. Waza has 2,19% fuel consumption/lap because he was 1 lap off.. took me a while to realize, lol..
Coming from the always-acceleration driving style to the eco-style, it kinda looks like i'm doing fine in those stats.
Considering my slowish fuel saving last +-10 laps though, i'd be probably only in the better midfield.
Alexander Wurz seems to have a natural talent here (place 2,2,2,2,4). Well done!
Tijny being offroad so often? Maybe due to cutting last curve here and there?
16.859 - nice lap by laf :E
I hope it's just a database error instead of checkline errors in the track.

Re: Formula 1 World Championship #1
Ideal lap was 1:25.456, which would have qualified in 5th position. Pretty fast lap it seems. Interesting also that B set records for sector 2 & 3 in the same lap. Did he stop at 34?
Re: Formula 1 World Championship #1
So kewl
dede with a lack in sector 3.
Me with low fuel, but sucky tyres fast in sector 1.
Yeah, Bade made a late 2nd stop. It was probably his fast lap after pitting.
Not sure, if those 3 sector times may be summarized that easily to an ideal lap, since maybe reaching some checklines early could mean that you slowed down too late and screwed the next sector. But maybe power79 chose the checklines wisely in a way, so the summing up kinda works(?).

Wait, wait, wait. I set my best time in 1:26:897 which I guess was at lap 34 judging sectors 1 & 3, but if i add them with Sector 2 the total is a sick 1:26:156, faster than Mike Nike's one and only +0.2 from T and B. How is that possible? I failed 2nd sector of my best time by 0.700?
EDIT: Ok hold on, my personal best was at lap 33 and my best sectors are at 32 and 34. I'm confused now xD Total is still a sick time tho. Pure Talent

It's always possible that there's errors. If you clearly see something wrong you can let me know. I guess in theory sector 3 lap number could be off by one sometimes for example. So maybe I check those in case of errors.Carlos Sainz Jr wrote: Wait, wait, wait. Re: Formula 1 World Championship #1
Oh, this is just embarrassing again. But in my defense, I had a bit of a pitlane accident in my test race where I braked too late and crashed into the stack of tyres, so I wanted to avoid that by braking early. I had no idea I gave up so much time by doing that, but I suppose it does make sense.
Re: Formula 1 World Championship #1
Carlos, here are sector times for your laps 32-34. Maybe these clear things up.
And now all stats I posted are available in this txt file:

I can do these stats for every race with little effort. But I keep them in that txt file in future. I think I flooded this topic bit too much.

Re: Formula 1 World Championship #1
Yeah thanks, it was all right. It is just surprising how my personal best was at lap 33 without having any best sector in there, 'cause they're at lap 34 (sectors 1;3) and 32 (sector 2) which together make a sick time. Thanks again Power!power79 wrote:Carlos, here are sector times for your laps 32-34. Maybe these clear things up.And now all stats I posted are available in this txt file:Code: Select all
Lap 32 sectors: 26.786 24.710 35.733 1:27.229 Lap 33 sectors: 26.576 25.093 35.228 1:26.897 Lap 34 sectors: 26.504 25.657 34.942 1:27.103
Stats
I can do these stats for every race with little effort. But I keep them in that txt file in future. I think I flooded this topic bit too much.
