Honestly I don't get why we keep arguing about wanking. I think it's pretty clear that wanking is the most succesful way to become a good player, but that's JUST because wanking requires a lot of time. If the same time is spent racing, improvements will come anyway (maybe not the same type of improvements -> more constancy, less top speed).
The current system is like this just because we used it in the past, not because I think it's the best one. Of course, if we consider the activity in the server during the week, maybe it's the best one. But we don't have to forget this is a qualifying system!
If we want more F1 wanking activity during the week, we could just set up a Weekly Wanking + TurboSliders.com ranking based on F1 tracks & car. No need to keep the two things together. Just an idea.

Top 18 in Pre-Qualifying will qualify to Pro Race, other two spots will be assigned to Top 2 of Rookie Race. Additional free spots will be assigned basing on Rookie Race results.

I don't think you've driven a single non-random race in the past year without complaining about the lag so I wouldn't bet on it being temporary.

i doubt it helps you, but i fixed a part of my lag-problems with taking f11 instead of f10 as the key to switch display of prediction-stats etc.
with f10 i couldnt change the prediction for some reason, with f11 i can do it now, so my server diff will be in the 20-40 zone instead of random 100+, it used to be last +-1 year. hmm, that would mean sucking less in punaball and rdp, nice^^

Well qualified 3.rd - I was quite shaky in the first laps. Ended up in 5.th behind Furion. His blocking was a bit rough (some of them were him braking in corners where I didnt) so finally overtook him with a fairly aggressive move - not complaining about him though that was the closest thing to a fight I had on the track. Had a collision with Simmser (might have been someone else) when I lapped him, he made a mistake - shit happens (the other 2 times he gave me plenty of space). One bad crash, whoever was behind me caught up, I was quite stable after that so he fell behind. So from lap 10 till the end it was a fairly lonely race for me.
As I was clearly not on par with the top 3 I am not complaining about my 4.th place. I reckon there will be enough room in the pro race, if not - well then Dragos evil laugh at my expense was justified.
