Hmm Afinfas, I can't remember a race where both Eddie and Dede raced and someone else won... Maybe some random race where they both had problems. But I think that ain't gonna happen!

THANK YOU!!!!! :D

Thats those kind of things i need to hear to give me motivation to beat them! I love beating records and if no one has won with them 2 racing then im gonna try to be the first one achieving it!

Well, 2 races ago i got 2nd place in front of Dede...and dont tell me: "It was a test race!" Sounds like a good excuse!! ;) Im just sad that i will not be able to race on that track officially cause i really enjoy it and i think i had some advantage over them....

Lanz....please delete this post man, dont take my motivation out!!!

This track will be for the courage guys. The turning points are so hard to get right...you literally have to throw your car to the turn at max speed. Crazy!!! In real life i would $hit my pants off!! :D

BTW: my best till now is 35.004s I will be happy enough going under 35s! But yeah, very far away from Eddie´s 34.697 (when that lap is really true!!! :D ). Show us the evidence Mr! :) Even i believe you made it cause i really see where you can get more time on the track.

Last sequence of turns is unbelievable... congrats to Lanz for the track! ;)

EDIT: One question: I was making some AI lines and made one race, finished it and made another race. The sign saying AIrec was there but it didnt update the file when i made better laps! :( Does it mean i always have restart the game and place the AI lines file someplace else so the game creates another one?
I hope im not sounding confusing!

No, it should work - the new laps will be added to the bottom of the file. At least that's how it should be.

thank my laziness! the plan was to make more tracks and to use the long version only for test races! the DTM only races at the Indy version which was the plan for the PTM as well! and i didn't designed it!

Thanks for the replay..indeed impressive!!! :) I see that you are the kind of guy that doesnt let go the gas key right? I tend to let go the gas key and only accelarate when im supposed to...i think your technick is more effective but....we had already this conversation before! :D Will try your technick to see difference but will be hard to get used to it. I have to forget the one im using now...or simply combine both and maybe then im faster then you!

About the ai file....with me it didnt update unfortunately...i always have to remove the file from the folder and start again the race and tehn copy paste the results to the previous file and then copy back to its original folder... ;)
Lanz wrote: thank my laziness! the plan was to make more tracks and to use the long version only for test races! the DTM only races at the Indy version which was the plan for the PTM as well! and i didn't designed it!

Anyway....looks nice, i like it. The tracks in general on TS look great...only sad that its not so easy to make them.

Btw...my personal best: 34.943s :D Im already happy with this and it will be amazing if i can repeat it on Q. I bet money that this time is more then enough to reach Q2 and if i repeat it on Q2 it gives me a place on first 3! Bets???

EDIT: For who wants to practice with some COM cars, i leave here some ai lines with my best lap inclusive. Its quite demanding i would say but, a good practice for real race for sure! ----->HERE
The laps are not organized by best time, does that matter? This cause i copy paste some results and didnt wanted to put in order. Well, its working for me!

EDIT2: Guys, probably you had discussed it already a million times but....this game needs an update. I would love to have a single player mode! I can have a lot of fun even with com players. Its just sad that its impossible to make a championship offline, cause they dont go to pits and they dont care if theres cars around... comparison...they behave a bit like Martin!
On NSGP we have a very nice feature that when you play offline, the COM players sense the presence of others cars around and avoid contact until a certain point. Also, when overlapping they really give way to faster cars. Its great. Such a simple thing but makes a great difference!
Any chance of an update some time soon? Would be awsome! I would play this game offline for sure! Something simple!?? Actually who is in charge of the game at the moment? Is abandoned? I cant seem to understand. Was from a company but now its from other one,bla,bla,bla...I understood from some of you that someone is kind of responsible over here, did i heard right?
Let me know....

I was thinking about those stuff a lot in the past too. I even tried to make some drawings of a potential "campaign mode" for the game. Now I think that mode isn't that important if we could just get a little smarter AIs. In that case every cup we make would be a great and endless campaign.
When I was a student last few years, I spent a lot of great hours playing TS with my 2 room mates in front of 1 PC (o boy, those were the days...).
They couldn't just watch me playing it alone day by day whenever I had a free time, so they started with XB and ended up with a massive cups with 20 tacks and 20 cars.
Btw, one of those guys smacked down the keyboard because of horny AIs. Soon we had to buy joysticks cause there was no enough keys left for more than 1 player anymore. :)
That's why I understand all your pain, agree with you, and support these changes.

This is still and INDIE game even it's released under the "Jollygood Games" - company of a small games. The developer of the game is totally independent as I know and the only reason why the game stuck with its improvement is his lack of free time. You can read that he worked on "Allan Wake" in the near past. I can't tell you much, but I know he's not that far from the TS code anymore.
I 'll note your wishes and probably inform him about them in the future contact.

That would be great, even if i dont have many expectations. We were asking for improvements to NSGP for a long time and the issue was exactly the same thing. Lack of time of the author. After quite some time, we indeed "convinced" him to release teh code so we could make teh changes by ourselves. I could easily imagine something similar here. Im sure someone can work it out the code. I know Mike would be willing at least to give it a try. But if you say that the author might not be so far away from picking up the game again, we dont have alternative other then wait i guess.
What i meant is simply small improvements that i think wouldnt take much time. Im just being realistic. ;)
WOW..he worked on Alan Wake!!!?? So, even one more reason not to take much time to further develop TS a bit! Is there any way we can make some "pressure"? Or show interest?

BTW...you know that NSS (NewstarSoccerPro) wonsome days ago a BAFTA award in the middle of EA games Fifas, and other ones!!!??? Unbelievable, was so funny to see it. An Oldschool game 2d top down winning against Fifa and F12012 graphics! And its from an independent guy as well. The same who made NSGP and ow released the code. Check it out the video if you feel like: http://awards.bafta.org/award/2013/games/sports-fitness
Check the other guys with a face like: "Who the hell is this guy that comes with this game and wins against multimillion companies like EA!!!"
:D Sweet!

About those times playing games with friends on same keyboard....ohh yeah!!! I know exactly what you mean. I remember me and 3 other guys around a single keyboard with the hands all over the keyboard...ahahahaha. and sometimes some keys were making conflict with other players keys! :D

No, your analysis is wrong. :) I always let go of the gas key before braking,
and when I need to slow down just a little bit, I prefer lifting over braking. I wonder how you got this idea!

There has been a race track at Brands since 1926, when the land was first used for grass track bike racing. In those days, competitors ran anti-clockwise, but the direction of the circuit was switched in 1954.

The heritage of Brands is vast - name any famous driver from the last 50 years or so and they are bound to have cut their teeth racing here. Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, Barry Sheene, Jack Brabham, Ayrton Senna and Jenson Button are among the countless drivers to have raced and won at Brands over the years.

Nigel Mansell scored his first Grand Prix victory there, also winning the final F1 race at Brands in 1986. The circuit became the spiritual home of the World Superbike Championship in the 1990s and 2000s, and hosted the first A1 Grand Prix in 2005. The Formula Ford Festival continues to be an important event on an aspiring driver's CV and past winners have included Jenson Button and Mark Webber. Brands Hatch continues to make history, with the road cycling events at the 2012 Paralympic Games based at the Kent circuit proving a huge success, with Alex Zanardi's performances voted as the number one moment of the 2012 Paralympic Games by the International Paralympic Committee.

Brands Hatch's unique combination of dips, cambers, fearsome corners and hills means it is still one of the world's favourite racing circuits, and continues to go from strength to strength.

Oh yeah you´re right! I was analyzing it again and...i said that cause your timings with acceleration points are so perfect that it looks you have gas pressed on all the time! ;) And your car always has the rotations high!!! Thats why you make those times! It even looks that your car breaks better then mine (on this case). I try to make same breaking points and its never enough, car always go too wide or looses too much speed...
Hmmm....i guess everyone has his own Technic. How long you play this game? I guess that explains everything!

Well, it seems the win is already delivered for next race cause if you are racing 0.300s faster then any other driver, there´s no chance at all! I can make 34.9xx one time in 20 laps but for what i saw on your replay you made 3 laps always around that time in a row! Indeed impressive!

I guess i have to practice a bit more if i want to win races with you around! ;)

EDIT: My new REC: 34.799s Very proud to be at 0.100 from faster racer.

tried it yesterday...1st try of 39 laps i got only 34.8x...
2nd try i made a 34.727, feeling pretty much able to beat the rec...later followed by a couple of ridiculously messed up laps, when feeling a possible rec coming^^...
anyway, lost the touch after 2nd try, in which i was able to actually drive fast and constant. for some reason i couldnt do that anymore after..

the laptimes: (all in a row, after few laps in 2nd stint)
35.069 34.936 35.143 34.727 35.358 35.266
48.915
35.397 34.964 34.844
37.633 36.328
35.330 35.050 35.074 35.012 35.036 35.003 35.027 35.407 34.965 35.684 34.828

6x 35.0 in a row felt kinda nice, actually. im sure t/d would be able to actually drive more than 2-3 laps in a row under 35...but luckily the startposition is not too important.
dede from 1 to 3. mike from 5 to 2 last race :D...turned out that sitting on the toilet, laptop on chair was better than sitting on the chair with the laptop on a desk.

Ok but....does it make such a big difference from the ones we save on our own computer?? I would even say that the ones we have on our computer are more precise to what we saw on our screen during the race or? :?:

Server replay is more precise to what happened in race (in real).

Yes, it makes a big difference - the quality of server-side videos should be completely lossless. Client videos however work very differently: while you're playing, the game receives updates from the server every 60-100 ms, but it only writes the game's state to the recording every 400 ms by default. Simply put, this means that client videos saved with the default settings will exhibit much more warping than how it appeared while playing, because the longer the game goes without updates, the heavier the warps will be. You can set the recording interval to 100 ms though, which will greatly reduce this effect. It will increase the .tsr files' sizes quite much, but I can still recommend it to anyone.

Hmm what a race... 9th startplace said it all. Stuck in midpack chaos and some badluck during the race.. Hitted simmer who was like not moving on the main straight and coudn't avoid him anymore. This crash I had to overtake 3 guys again I think.

I feel like Senna though, I think I overtook ...... *drums* .... Mrtn 5 times!!

Had some sick avoid moves though later in the race overtaking some of the guys. But really bad race all in general.

Btw Mrtn stop moving more than once when defending!!

Ok, what can i say....

Had an ok Q1 that gave me 4th place. On Q2 i was expecting improving my previous time of around 35.150 but i didnt. I ended up making 35.2 but was very surprised to see many other drivers, Dede inclusive, making 35.5 and so.
3rd place it was, enough to avoid initial traffic! :D
Started nice and fast but in the beginning of 2nd lap made a mistake and Eddie took the chance to pass me. Was 4th now....
Spent whole race fighting with Lanz for 3rd place and had the feeling i was more consistent then him. Almost never saw Mike Nike again.
First pitstop i lost the 3rd place to Lanz again cause i went one lap later then him and that gave him an advantage (plus i made a stupid mistake).
Had a nice duel with him and in the end managed to keep the initial 3rd place and my best position ever on a official race, in front of DEDE!

Could have made better and at least reached 2nd place as Eddie made a strange mistake on last lap, going to grass on a straight! But i was so surprised with that, that i made myself a mistake where i never do! :D

Anyway...im happy with my first podium. Missing a first win but it will not be for sure next week as i will not gonna show up...and i know the track very well! :(

Ok, see you in 2 weeks....

from what i saw till now, Augusto is under investigation for the next race for ignoring the following rule:
5.5. fighting with Leaders if lapped not allowed

again the race was loads of fun for me! sadly i made some crucial mistakes! had a good shoot at blowing up the Merc podium! congratz to those guys!
dang BMW is under pressure now from the headquarter, far away from the expectations! time to work on the pace!

6th place with big enough gap behind and ahead of me. I made a lot of small mistakes due to connection condition. Surprisingly well after one evening practice with Lanz and Szym. Seems hard circuit is good for me.

Im not a points contender for BMW but still feel shamed after todays perfomance! Quali was like 0.5s slower that I was aiming, didn't get any decent laps. There are so few laps in Q that I felt horrible pressure all the time and melted. I need more laps to get a time. Costed only few positions because everyone else are so damn fast but still took away some confidence.

Race was ok first few laps but then I run into szymek and then tried to let him pass but he just didnt take over and gave me a "wtf" cause I bumped him a little in the process(accidently). I guess he had some technical problems with the car cause hes clearly faster but was fighting with us second class drivers at the beginning. Somehow I lost concentration after that and started to really make mistakes all the time.

Then came the lappers and it was always like 5 drivers in a row. Impossible to give way to all without ending to grass and getting damage. Also I always have to change the hud so that I know whos coming from behind. Getting lapped really ruins your race quite easilly. I guess thats good motivation to try become faster.
