Haha I was of course teasing with the kitchen thing And I think when writing the official rules, I will say something along these lines:

Match times will be set by doodle at least 3-5 days before match time. Once match date/time has been set and agreed by both teams, then its committed to except in very special circumstances when all have no problem rescheduling. If someone doesn't turn up as planned (we could give say 15 minutes time limit), then that team forfeits the match (say, a 5-0 loss) if theres no quick replacement they can get in. Only in cases where no one shows up, or 1 of each team shows up would we have a problem. I would probably then go for a reschedule.. But we can talk about this. If you can think of some good rules, then please feel free to chip in.

Seems anyway even without Eddie, Mike (who I know was interested but I think hes away or something), Dede, Stealth etc etc that we have enough for the test cup now. So the next step is a draft, and also a demonstration of doodle to plan the test cup date. So after I've finished making the kits for the teams some have chosen, I'll make a draft topic, and a test cup topic.

Also Eddie I was thinking, there are other ways also we could reduce problems with organization than just forfeits for non-shows.. for example, a dedicated chatroom, or requiring people are on skype.. There are also other things I already plan to do like put every game on the front page once it is scheduled

i made few hours work in excel to determine some pb-ranking coefficent (including i.e. teamranks, teamgoals, goals, relative goalrank), but i still need 2vs2 q. cup 7, 9, 11 in best case.
also any other cup results could be nice, even the 1vs1 and 2vs2 ladder thingy from some server back then is welcome, if someone got any results there -> send them to me or better: link them or post them here.

so..in best case the top players would be allowed to choose first (or automaticly seeded into the according top uefa teams, so we end up having 2 teams in a pb cup final, which are most likely to be searched on google = more ts advertising )

I have no plans for this to be true, however I would have no problems if you... accidentally told him this in order for Tijny to participate is far more important for the cup. Its the "Champions" league, champions of puna should be the priority to participate.

Mike, amazing job already! We need one of these rankings to seed for the tournament, so great job.. the rankings can then be calculated for next editions based on say, a 3 edition average eventually.

I was half-joking. (and polling opinions) You can sign me up whether you allow this f*** in or not, but fact remains that I would absolutely hate to play against him. His unrelenting stupidity paired with his inconceivable superiority complex and overly competitive nature make him even more unbearable in the Punaball arena than anywhere else. Do as you like, but I feel as though more than a few people share my opinion, even if they may not feel as strongly about it as I do.

i played a game with Rei yesterday i tried to play a game yesterday with rei i read alot of posts beforehand from F1 cup 2010 the rei era so i was in very reiish mindset but at 8-2 down rei disconnected the game -__-

It's not even fun to beat him, he believes his losses are incidents and/or due to his teammate's poor performance. His wins on the other hand are proof of his greatness, regardless of how good his teammate and the opponents are. He also won't accept any match-ups that he believes he cannot win, and always tries to manipulate the teams in his favor, so that he has the least chance of losing and getting his ego hurt. It's actually quite clever if you think about it!

I'm against reirom's participation on this cup. First of all, this is an event that requires some effort from the players to play their own games. I don't see myself having patient trying to schedule a match against his team. Likewise, I don't want to contribute to elevate reirom's ego. Therefore, I don't mind if he joins the test cup, but for the real cup i'm not in favour of including him.

It's allowed I suppose although I would need to be able to find a way to contact you quickly.. If you suspect you will be missing dates indeed its better that you don't sign up until at least I can publish a timeline for the cup. If you are talking about missing just one week at a time, we can talk to your opponents about playing 2 games in one week, however if you are away for a long portion of the cup, especially the knockout stages, that could be a real problem.

Ok guys, I updated the first post to include kits for Liverpool, Newcastle and Zagreb, and also I updated the macros with these kits and also a macro for each session, to further automate the running of the cup. Now all PCL refs must do is record the game, run the macros, help to keep track of the overall score and make sure the two rules are observed (middle line at kick off, last touch at final/half time whistle).

So, the next step is to plan for the test cup in the next week or so. We will need 8 teams for the planned test cup format, we currently have 3 completed teams (Dinamo Zagreb, SL Benfica and Borussia Dortmund), 2 teams who need their second member (Liverpool, Newcastle), so we need to then make 3 new teams. Guys on the unattached list, this is your job! Theres enough people to make the test cup happen in the next week or so, (at least 8 people who should be available for the test cup, 2 to join Santa and Jurgen at Liverpool and Newcastle, and then enough to make 3 teams), don't worry if you don't want to commit yet, I will allow team changes right up to a few days before the tournament starts for real. But please, try to get together, so we can hold the test cup! I'm gonna open doodle for the test cup either today or tomorow, so please get negotiating with potential team mates

Btw, one more thing, because of the new replay features, I would love to hold the test cup (and the cup itself) on the 2.5.1 beta, will that be possible/allowed? If someone with the authority on this could answer me, that would be great.

You don't have to record/play with new version. Just copy the old version tsr files to new version folder and you can use the new features there.

Wow, great info.. I did write the macros for the new version as well with the /sayadmin command, but I can replace that with /adminmsg if neccesary.

PS. about teammates i dont really mind who i get teamed up with the only thing my teammate should know beforehand if i get too competitive and start chatting rubbish stuff in chat just has to say i need to cool down or stop chatting and i will (i have a weak selfstopbutton)

You may notice in the macros (written for the new version) I have drafting turned off.. one day we can talk about it but currently, I have no plans to include any of the new features at least in the first edition of the cup. Until its adopted in the wider puna community, only new rules will be last kick rule and potentially a time wasting rule (see new topic).
