Well man, there are a few reasons why noone came:

- There are only a few people signed up.
- You did not give much of an announcment that the cup was starting.
- You sent no mails

Send mails and post in the forums a week in advance (not hours..).

btw, you said the test races are not important, and people do not need to be there. So, whats the problem?

It does not matter, you must keep everyone informed, dont expect them to check for an update, it is up to you to inform them.
