I think that idea should just do the trick top 5 last season should'nt be allowed in same team then, dede wrote:Race server will be LVP #2, unless we encounter problems in test races.
About teams, I'm not sure yet. Team championship has always been a bit unbalanced and useless, so shall we make changes (like 3 players per team, top 2 players score team points)? I'm open to suggestions..
But i don't believe that was the case last season for the teams either.
Dont beg for things do it yourself or else you wont get anything!!
I have few ideas about a new pit design to make pit visiting more cleaner.
It's all based on making all 20 pit spots for all 20 drivers. Each driver must take the fuel from his own spot. Otherwise he would be punished. Of course, these numbers can have reversed order (20, 19, 18...). It all depends about what spot is better (20. or 1.) We all know that we all try to take the 20. spot to have better preview of other drivers, but sometimes when you run out of fuel, 1. spot is way better. So, the fastest player should get that spot.
All spots can be deserved by quali time of each race. Other way, all spots can be given to all players even before league start (like in real life F1).
Players will get them by this order:

Here are the examples:

In my opinion, example c) is the best (Wh_Pity track style). a) is also good. Notice that I made this image in few seconds; track makers could make nicely designed little numbers near the each spot, not like these ones.
Of course, spots should be little bigger, not like in a) and b), and there should be more space between them. Also, pit should not to be too big. Example c) gives you all those possibilities.

then the #s of the pitlane should be written there with some paint aswell i dont feel like counting this is 12 or 13 anyway :pWhiplash wrote:reirom wrote:whip idea i dont think is need why?
is rare more than 2 cars to pit in same lap
so we dont need this, is not like indy with yeloow flag and all guys go to pit
this not need whip
pit where you want..
like said the pit will not be trafficed etc..
Just watch videos of last league races.

I agree with Reirom....(lol)
But seriously this is to hard to arrange and it's a disavantage to have the first pit boxes i think. Just drive slow in the pit, so you dont hit others and watch out. It's 100 times harder if you have for example number 9 and have to stop in the middle of the pit.. what if you did brake to early or a bit to late? Punish? Will only make the league too complicated and human ruling makes it also alot harder

I already said that you can give last spot to fastest player too and set number 1 for it.Pingu wrote:But seriously this is to hard to arrange and it's a disavantage to have the first pit boxes i think.
Well, that's why I said that example c) is the best. But with a) and b) you could have much cleaner visiting too. With this you would not be alowed to drive over the all pit boxes and then brake on your own. You would have to drive trough pit straight line until you find your spot and then you could turn left or right to it. On that way all other drivers in pit spots will be saved.Pingu wrote:It's 100 times harder if you have for example number 9 and have to stop in the middle of the pit.. what if you did brake to early or a bit to late? That was just an idea anyway.Pingu wrote:Will only make the league too complicated and human ruling makes it also alot harder
Man, I really can't understand what you are saying.Jurgen-NL wrote:then the #s of the pitlane should be written there with some paint aswell i dont feel like counting this is 12 or 13 anyway :p
if you have #12 to pit for example imagine yourself finding number 12 without the numbers being written on/at the stopping places.Whiplash wrote:Man, I really can't understand what you are saying.Jurgen-NL wrote:then the #s of the pitlane should be written there with some paint aswell i dont feel like counting this is 12 or 13 anyway :p

I've already thought about that, but I believe that it would make things much harder for the reasons mentioned by other guys. Imagine I'm pitting at spot #2 and Tijny enters the pit and has to stop at spot #1, right in front of me. That would be a potential problem if I'm ready to leave pits. Yeah, ok, that might happen right now as well, but at least now we can decide where to pit to stay away from troubles.
Bad example - it would only be valid if you were ahead of me.dede wrote:Imagine I'm pitting at spot #2 and Tijny enters the pit and has to stop at spot #1, right in front of me. That would be a potential problem if I'm ready to leave pits.
Anyway, I don't know if reirom is just sucking up lately or if he's really bettered his ways, but he is hereby allowed to join the league on the condition that he keeps up his good behavior. (you can thank dede for that)
If enough drivers join, and we do actually need to split qualifying to multiple servers, I'm thinking a new form of qualification is in order. Allow for some lapwanking without thinking about fuel, so the real fastest 20 will enter the race. It's probably most fair that way.
I'm all for a new qualification system anyway, I think the current one is boring. Get rid of ghost mode, and "fuel after qual = race fuel." I think that would be exciting... at least it was in the old GPOR F1 league.
There's my 2 cents for 2010...

I'm sure you can play. Skill level isn't relevant and you get better only by playing anyway.Jaykoq wrote:can i play?
or just be a test driver (i'm a noob xD)
and ... i don't have full version of game, is that a problem? :/
You don't need the full version to play as nowadays the demo is practically the same as the full version.
Oh maaaaaan. It's obvious that you will have numbers for each pit spot.Jurgen-NL wrote:if you have #12 to pit for example imagine yourself finding number 12 without the numbers being written on/at the stopping places.Whiplash wrote:Man, I really can't understand what you are saying.Jurgen-NL wrote:then the #s of the pitlane should be written there with some paint aswell i dont feel like counting this is 12 or 13 anyway :p
Hmm, that's bad conclusion. You would not be allowed to leave the pit driving over his pit box. You will have to turn right and leave it, and not to even touch other's boxes (like in real F1). That rule you would have to respect when you are going in and going out of the pit. So, during the pit visiting, you are allowed to touch your own box only. And that would be totally clean playing. Track makers should just make little space between each pit spot (box) and that would be all. Example c) will make easier respecting that rule, but clasic pit would be good enough too. To show an valid pit visiting we could make the video of that and publish it here. On that way all players would easier understand that simple rule.dede wrote:I've already thought about that, but I believe that it would make things much harder for the reasons mentioned by other guys. Yeah, I like your idea. That would be better for newcomers especially, but more exciting for old players too.Mouse wrote: I'm thinking a new form of qualification is in order. Of course, with this you will have to make lower numbers of laps. But that's even better, because then you could make longer practising session.
