Not really, I'm always saying the truth: in the 2nd race I clearly said you had no chances, now I say that I suck too much to win. Mike Nike practised a lot, I didn't and maybe I won't.mouse wrote:Dede is only tring to get inside our heads, im sure!

After seeing mikenike we are all a little demotivated!!!, I thought I had found the pace for this track... but no way. I'm running on a steady 34.05x-34.06x in my qualifying tests and it's still too far from mike; besides I see no margin of improvement for myself.

Previous one was the best for me...this is the worste!!!
For sure:
Mike 1st
Dede 2nd
??? 3rd
4 players will fight for 3rd position!!!
Ok, I practised a bit today.. Now I'm not sure anymore about what I said
Let's say that if I am first after the 1st lap in the race, then I will have good chances to win. The problem still is: I'm very slow in the single lap (I could be far from the pole by 0.3), so if in the first lap I fail getting a good position, then my race is compromised.

Commented Toca race of Zandvoort (change the perspective to Mike Nike)...
some comments were too late or too early...however: most cuts were showing warps :S
http://www.mikenike.com/Tournaments/TS_ ... e_Nike.tsr
Race totaltime: 19:38 min with warps and crashs... (~100%,91%,90%,79%)
After-Race-Test-Session with the same fuel tactic, ghost race, own server (no warps): 19:25 min (19:21 was reachable)
After-Race-Test-Session with dede's fuel tactic: with no mistakes 19:26 min maximal reachable. (~76%,65%,65%,65%,76%)
Analysing statistics and calculating with fuel settings told me that starting with 100% was the best tactic (to save time).
Compared to dede my line was faster, but his fuel consumption was lower / 9 laps (96-97% compared to my 98-99% in normal case without big mistakes).
The high risk to fill less than 1-2% additional fuel over my average fuelconsumption i did not take...due to probably coming traffic or warps...
dede took the risk with less fuel and had much free space after overtaking me in lap 1 - nearly no mistakes, less traffic ... -> most laps without problems and safe ending
Bad luck for me this time with the warps...handling them was not easy and i could avoid to crash here and there...but sometimes it was just impossible not to crash :S
Congrats, dede, Mouse & Co. and Jeffrey once again
More players but less warps next time - my dream

Let's hope I'll be a bit faster on next track, because this time I won just thanks to the tactic: fastest tactic isn't always the winning one, expecially when you drive with other cars around you. I admit that MN had more warps than me, but I really believe that without them I still had possibilities to win the race, though I was 0.2/lap slower than him. Thanks to my tactic I had pretty low traffic during the whole race, and I had the possibility to switch to 3 pitstops only if race needed that.

Mike Nike pos 1 (time: 4:24.374, 7 laps), best lap: 7 (36.560) Toca 18
Lap times: 40.048 38.236 37.620 37.623 37.331 36.956 36.560
Allright...this i drove after i told dede to test the next track.
I already drove the track weeks ago with 36.6 as laptime (2 bounces), being able to reach 36.3-4 maybe...not sure - but with no bounces i did not expect to drive 36.5x so fast...at least not so early.
Do you think bouncing, in the quali for example, should be allowed or not? I prefer that people avoid it in this toca season, actually.
Ah, by the way...i had 16% fuel after these 7 laps, i guess...but i will test later more.
By the way: a part of my email to Jeffrey:
Short restart, starting a race to take quali positions (1 lap). Next race will start like normal then (order by fastest lap).
Edit:
laptime, starting the lap with 12% fuel: 36.24x (36.1 high ruined due to 1 time accidently crossing the grass; 36.0x at least reachable)
laptime, no fuel: 35.900 (35.7x might be my limit)
Lap times: 40.048 38.236 37.620 37.623 37.331 36.956 36.560

Another suggestion is: if you are there for the race..right in time, but disconnect accidently...then others have to wait at least 3, 4 or 5 minutes...so the driver can reconnect. Wolf came back in lap 7, maybe earlier, maybe later...(~4 minutes after disconnecting). As long as it happens before the lamps are out, a restart is still possible:Autoserver: should have all 18 cars and each driver may drive only with his car
advantage: you can see easily who is active and practiced and you can compare to others - people will improve their times then and practice more = more interesting races
In addition there won't be so many "new laprecord" messages during the main race after
warmups: fastest laps in warmup (startfuel not changeable) could be used to set the startgrid for the qualification (order by fastest lap).
Advantage here is the minimized traffic between (slow and fast) drivers.
