I tried but i just can't fraps or record turbosliders

. Since i can't play turbosliders on directx (colors go weird somehow) its even harder

DEDE PRE RACE HOW MANY LAPS AND WHAT TIME?

Ok, first race is coming so it's time to announce last changes..

Qualify System
Qualify will close at 20:00 CET, these standings will define the entry list:
- top 18 players are qualified for the PRO RACE starting at 21:00 CET
- 19th-38th are qualified for the ROOKIE RACE starting at 20:15 CET (in case some players don't show up, spots are to those who dodn't make it in top 38 )

Top 2 finishers on ROOKIE RACE will be qualified for PRO RACE. Additional spots at PRO RACE will be given basing on final position obtained at ROOKIE RACE.

Points System
For PRO RACE, these are the points given:
25 22 20 18 16 15 14 13 12 11 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1

For ROOKIES RACE we'll use same points system. Coefficient for PRO RACE is 1, coefficient for ROOKIE RACE is 0.08 (winning ROOKIE RACE will give 2 points in championship standings).

Those players who will join both races will score the max points they achieved in either one or the other race. Examples:

REIROM wins ROOKIE RACE = 25*0.08 = 2 pts
REIROM finishes 20th in PRO RACE = 1 pt
=====================> 2 pts

Jaykoq finishes 2nd in ROOKIE RACE = 22*0.08 = 1.76 pts
Jaykoq finishes 19th in PRO RACE = 1 pt
=====================> 1.76 pts

Rookie Championship
All those players who joined at least 50% of ROOKIE RACES will be ranked in ROOKIE CHAMPIONSHIP. Only best 4 results will count.

Schedule: Sunday 3 October @ 20:15 CET
Fuel: off
Quali Laps: 4
Race Laps: 22

Question
If I qualified as 19th spot in the qualifications, but don't drive the Rookie race for whatever reason (lets say late diner or maybe just forgot lol since you didn't know you was 19th spot until sunday late).
Then in the real race someone doesnt show up. Who gets the spot? Me or the 3rd place in rookie race?

Good question.

I would say 3th place rookie gets the spot because he is already there and showed motivation, unlike the number 19 player that missed the rookie race.

This would make the rookie race even more interesting too.

Ok. So we also need a clear time when qualifications close... 16:00 CET on sunday or so? You can't do deadline at start of rookie race because maybe someone thought he was safe at 17th spot but got passed in the last minuts lol, while he thought he was safe for "pro" race

Well, 17th isn't safe position

I can't close the server earlier than 20:00 CET, so that'll be the deadline. If you are in "danger", keep monitoring the standings

Yeah, but first race all top 20 should drive in pro race. 2 best amateurs should take them next race. So, why clear those spots?
I'm not asking this because I'm 20 now.

You can't close the server, but tijny (poor tijny

) can modify the script to stop updating after a deadline time.
Maybe not for this race but for next one.
He can also write something like "You have X days y hours z min to qualify yourself". Tijny, don't kill me please

May i just say, "rookie race" is a terrible name. Would be better off called LCQ (last chance qualification) as the motocross championships. "Rookie race" is insulting, some don't have time to wank into the top 18, that does not make them a rookie.

One of players (Reirom or me) needs to get more points in "Pro Race" than in "Rookie Race".

No one cares about it though, the only reason most will drive it is to try and get in the real race. It's not a prize, it's a way for non-wankers to qualify.

we acctually had the same discussion about this in my puna cup would be pretty ackward to see these names being accepted now and not then.
Why not Main race and / Side event Race.

anyways looking forward to tommorrow its going to be as tight as reiroms ass for people to qualifie into main race.

Wow. I'm definitely screwed. My time is 33.985, which I feel is already sick, and that's not even close to the top 10. With the whole top 18 thing going on, I might not make it into the main race. I don't have much time to practice now because I have to study for an exam. Whenever I feel like relaxing I do some wanking there. Still, it's very hard to improve even 0.050 sec. The PC I use to wank is not always available, so I'm pretty much fucked.

This system is really better for people who have more time to practice. It's okay because it's the fairest system available. If you practice more, you get better results.
