Agreed, some top players missing and that hurts.
I got a bit lucky with my qualifying lap. I didn't expect to be on pole position, and infact several players set very close times. With less luck I could've been around 6th position.
Race started well, I had some trouble with cars on low fuel in the straights, but after I made some gap I never had problems again. Motivation and concentration is low in these races, as I have no particular pressure. Crashes show it. I seriously hope that Tijny and other top players come back in next races.
I liked the fuel strategy: I stopped exactly the time it needed to reach 100% tyre energy, fuel didn't require any extra seconds.

Track:
Nice one. Well done Scud! Nice balance between tarmac and off-road terrain speed. Keep using that one.
Race:
Pfff. It could be much better even 6th place isn't bad.
I destroyed Matic in first 2 laps.
But there was no intention at all. That push in 2 (3) lap wasn't really my fault even it looked like that. You just had a weird braking zone.
I laughed a lot watching Mrtn blocking Lanz about 6 laps.
Also, it was nice to see Mike beefed by Kiningas before he could get me.
Now seriously, there should be some punishments.

I had an interesting race. Several incidents in the first laps completely ruined my strategy. Before the race I was warned about Mrtn beefing and it seemed to be true, he made some crazy divebombs. Also, I was going slow in the hairpin after making a reasonable start and Alfonso hit me pretty hard, losing 3/4 spots.. perhaps thats not 100% his fault as I was going slow, but maybe he should of given positions back there.
Anyway, I was then involved in a crash that lost me around 3/4 seconds, and then a few laps later I encountered a crash right before pitlane entry, in order to avoid it I swerved and went down pitlane. This was about Lap 4 I think, and I felt I had to pit since I was already travelling down pitlane. This messed up strategy for entire race, and I was in 20th place.
I came across Woki and had a great battle - total fair, close driving side by side with no contact or minimal.. We went side by side through the hairpin only pixels apart, great stuff!
Then it was just trying to catch as many people at the end, made some ok passes and some lucky ones when people got stuck behind lapped cars, in the end, 9th, not bad for my first try at F1 cars in many months!

My race? I'd like to forget..
Good start, gained 1 position (due to Pingu problems). Bad pace in middle sector and then Mrtn pushed me and after that I made stupid mistake and lost many positions.
When I thought that I came back I met Kuningas, who overtook me by pushing, so I revenge and did the same at next corner.
I changed strategy to 1 stop, but it didn't work properly. I lost some time, when drivers, who had better tires try to overtake and overtook me. Sometimes not fair, but I don't mind, cause it was better for me to have let them go.
Maybe I could have kept Etmil behind me, but I had some problems with traffic, so after he overtook me I couldn't have done anything.
Anyway, race best memory is nice battle with Shyguy. I'm looking forward to see it on SlidersTV!

yep f road block! but all in all it was my fault that i was not able to overtake him! it was just frustrating and for sure it cost me some seconds! the only thing that made me real mad was once he drove into those "barriers" and i into him! it seemed he didnt thought he had to give way which should be punished with a warning! i laughed hard once he drove into the bridge-wall!Whiplash wrote:I laughed a lot watching Mrtn blocking Lanz about 6 laps.
all in all it was not my day, track was nice! quali was ok, i didnt had the feeling my last lap was faster then a .6 that i had already but i wanted to get rid of some fuel! somehow it was my fastest lap, even only by a little bit!
rest of the race was quiet nice, was able to drive nice laps but was not able to close up to pingu! so 3rd place is still nice!
yeah, kuningas beef there wasnt really good for my already bad conditions and a punishment sounds like no bad idea. Also, it was nice to see Mike beefed by Kiningas before he could get me.

the scene with afinfas was pretty warpy. i guess we collided somehow, cant say how much roughness there was included, at both sides, but i mainly warped out there, i think, since after the collision i just found myself somehow offroad.
well..and when i had a somewhat okayish pace, i lost connection and my race was over anyway..
but it was nice to see, that if i go for 10% less fuel, i actually dont fk up to be at least top3 in the starting grid..which was still quite a surprise though with this keyboard/laptop.
Yeah, after watching the replay one more time i have to admit that this last race was the least fair one raced by me. Not that it was with intention but...simply it happened. I say sorry to the ones i undeliberately hit...
I guess the info to take out of it is: "Dont drink and drive!!!" I was quite dizzy before race started and was really hard to control the car at some points.
Sometimes i wanted to give way to faster guys and move to the side but on this exactly moment they were also moving and it looked that i was blocking.... Sorry, again wasnt my intention!
Im yeager to see my performance next season when tracks are released....

Worst F1 race ever. I was thinking whole the race what to do - to quit or to keep suffering.
It was pure FC (first laps especially).
Track has really weird kerbs. Wokinger could just leave the white line there, cause they were so f*** tight, and also half of the kerb was on the road. So, basically, only half of tight kerb was there. Or, let's just be more clear - there was no kerbs.

There are wide kerb outside corners. Problem was that, in wet, u are sliding a lot on them. When dede send dry version, u will see, that they work pretty nice.Whiplash wrote:Worst F1 race ever. I was thinking whole the race what to do - to quit or to keep suffering.

but just forgot the time this time. hardly could figure if it is sat, sun or monday when playing half sleepless through the weekend. and then sunday morning 11 am (end of a long pokernight), dizzy, on the way to bed, p*ssed that 3 clowns got lucky on me...tough to even think about sliders.
anyway, tested the track and hehe, i see what whip is talking about
..
took a while for me at this craplaptop to actually drive a lap with just 1 slide...
