Cesp2 cant play, because Fernando had a bike crash and broked his right hand ,he tried to play with left, but no succeed.

They dont have substitute player, so how we solve that?

Seedings are based on single players' skills, previous results and things like that. If anybody knew exact skills and potential by every player/team, there wouldn't be any reason to play the cup at all. Right?

And anyway, seedings are often not perfect even on Champions League. It's more fun like that. Seeding system is made only to avoid that the best four teams are placed in the same group.
Yeah yeah yeah, just messing with you.

p.s. you guys just try to get into the semis and we'll get more "previous results" for the next cup

Cesp2 has already 3 players: Fernando, Cross and ijimra, so Cross and ijimra should have been played it then. Though the deadline is passed already and it seems your team makes it to the quarter-finals even without playing that.

If there comes no forfaits I will post the playoff matches later today.

Actually only match that haven't been played and that matters is Siurt vs Alev+Rub. Please someone in those teams say if either team should get a forfait win, if not then Siurt is first in that group because of higher goal difference.

Well, to be honest we haven't contacted Alev or Rub, but we haven't heard anything from them either. So, I'd say neither of us deserves the victory.

Let's start the playoffs!!

The playoffs are now updated to the "Groups and Fixtures" -post, but I post them here too:

De BarSho' vs Storm+Rogue
[fS] vs Alev+Rub
Siurt vs [:U]
FC Bullshit vs [NoLo]

And the last day you can play is October 8 Monday!

I really hope that all the matches will be played before the deadline. If you really can't play for some reason, please inform that to me and your match may be moved to another day.

Thanks to all teams that dropped out from playoffs for participating. Have a better luck next time! :) And congratulations to the teams that made it to the playoffs. I think that any of those teams can make it to the semifinal.

So good luck to all the teams! :D

We haven't played our match yet because I wasn't able to play at weekend, and I added Alev and Rub to msn but they haven't accepted me yet.

There's one other quarter-final that haven't been played either, so we have to move the deadline to Wednesday.

If those matches still aren't played, I will assign an exact date and time when the match is arranged in community server. And if the other team won't come there without informing about it earlier, they will lose the match by forfait.

Sorry to the other teams for the delay.

So, the new deadline is October 10 Wednesday!

Team Siurt vs. [:U] 13-8 (8-4, 5-4)

First game on Chevron's server, second one on Borg's.

Sorry, I meant nothing offensive. But still I don't see that you'd have accepted me in msn... :?

And it isn't your fault that the match hasn't been played yet. 20:00 GMT is a bit late for me but I think we still can play it then. :)

The problem is quite simple, Alev is spending 50% of a daytime at the university. That's why It seems to you he hasn't accepted, but actually he did. it's just he doesn't connect very often.
Don't worry, as he told you he will be available tonight ;)

Deadline for the Semi-finals is on October 17 Wednesday!

So there's lots of time to play and the deadline won't be moved.

We can start playing the Finals immediately when the Semi-finals have been played, so for example if they'll be played much before Wednesday, we don't have to wait till then of course.

There will be a Bronze medal match too, where the losers of the Semi-finals compete for the 3rd place in the tournament.

De BarSho' vs [fS] 6-3 (4-2, 2-1)

Aww that hurts... Great tight match anyway. :)

I would have liked to be in final but this time we didn't succeed in it. Little more luck and less lag to Miksa and we would have won. :P

Btw thanks for a great match and good luck to the final. :)

Semi-final match result:

Team Siurt vs. FC Bullshit 9-7 (6-5, 3-2)

First game on BoRg's server, second one on Matti's. Probably could have gone either way, we were just a little more lucky at the decisive moments.

Deadline for playing the matches is on October 24 Wednesday!

Good luck! :)

Final:

Team Siurt vs. De BarSho': 8-12 (4-5, 4-7)

Yesterday I agreed with dede to play this match as soon as possible, maybe not the best of ideas for us. Borg was in a hurry and his play clearly suffered from that. With some luck we were able to hang on in the first half though, and even take the lead for a while in the second half; after Borg missed two easy shots however, he seemed to have thrown in the towel.
Congrats go of course to Dede and Bar, who played very well throughout the cup.

No problem, the most important thing is that the match is now played.

I think the bronze match isn't very important and won't be played because I'm a bit busy with school and some other things just now so I don't have very much time, so I deleted the bronze match from the fixtures, sorry about that.

Thanks to all teams for participating and congratz to De BarSho' for winning! Maybe there will be some more punaball tournaments in future also, so feel free to comment anything like what was good in this tournament or what should be changed etc.

I'm happy that this cup succeeded well, though I'd like to get rid of those deadline movings.

Thank you all and see you on the field! :D

Thank you for organizing this cup. As always, a serious player can't organize anything but great cups. After all, seeding system wasn't that good (in that way, we already knew who was going to be on semi finals, more or less). Maybe from next tournament we could select groups completely randomly (even medium-bad teams have the possibility to go through the 1st round). Just an idea to make it more fun and interesting, from 1st round :)
And, well, some players complained about how I selected groups, so let's just forget the seeding system.
