I'd like to see it before I believe it.pablinho15 wrote:ciutz es el unico que le puede ganar a dede o tijny
@ Etmil, I thought you wanted to hear my view on the first lap "incident", so here it is:
I noticed you were faster than me because of your much lower fuel, so I went wide to let you pass. Watching the replay now your action does seem a little rough, as there was enough room on the inside and you kinda accelerated into me. But as I said, this stuff happens and it's part of racing, so I'm not blaming you for anything, also because you would've overtaken me anyway and I can't expect everyone to drive the perfect line.
Yeh, I was quicker than most in the beginning because of the low fuel, it also made it more difficult to control the car amidst all the other drivers. Now I haven't seen the race video, but the way I remembered it I was trying to overtake from the inside, having a lot more speed and then a slight 'bump' occurred which sent your car off the driving line [or off the track, even?
] I don't know 100%, but I'm sure you'll agree that during racing, you have to take quick decisions, and after my slightly rough overtake, I was indeed considering letting you past. I didn't because I thought that I didn't gain any advantage from it, knowing that a podium finish is quite unrealistic for an unskilled driver like me and I would finish 5th-6th at best anyway. I ended up 7th in the final classification and seeing as you won in spite of the incident, it's ok. I would've definitely refrained from taking further part in this F1 league if I had seen.. I don't know - your duel with dede being affected by my behaviour on track. Anyway, I'm glad you're not taking this in a bad way, because it was by no means intentional!
Yes, you do have to take quick decisions during racing. That's why I neither chose to be fully on the inside (i.e. my own line) nor completely on the outside (i.e. to let you pass). Had I done either of those things, nothing would've happened. No one was at fault here, and I would've hated myself if you had waited 5 seconds to let me (and a whole bunch of other guys) past after something like that.
Listen, dede, please stop calling me an asshole. I watched the video and I admit, yes, I did battle with you, not as much as you claimed, but yes. But I watched your car throughout the whole race and (from what I saw) I didn't jeopardize your race. dede, if possible, can you please just write at about what part of the race did I hurt your chances of winning. That's all I would like to put out. Everyone knows that I had no intention of ruining their race. I'm sorry, all I ask is that you guys don't hold this against me. I really didn't mean it... I was just an idiot, I should've waited till the next race. My apoligies go especially to dede and lux... I just hope you guys don't hate me...dede wrote:I didn't have time to watch the whole race again, but maybe I will do it later this week.lux2 wrote:EI seemed to be a really fair player, but after he discovered that pro Rule was off he started to block everybody.
Be careful for next race.
Anyway, this league is based on gentlemen rules (that are listed here).
Burn battled with cars lapping him, so he got a ban from the championship.
El and other newbies are now warned as well, so a ban would come in case they keep battling/blocking.
As explained yesterday, these races are official, so if players behave like assholes ruining the races, I might decide to keep the ban for next tournaments/events too. Obviously, permanent ban from all servers hasn't to be excluded either.

Burn, it's pretty simple, you broke a big rule. Don't battle with cars that are lapping you... you admit to battling with a car lapping you... don't you see the problem?
I hope these newer people signing up are trusted players... Not to judge anyone, but I'm a bit nervous about random people jumping in. Of course, I have been away for a while so I simply may not know them.....

Well the race is gone, no need to keep complaining. Things will go better from next races, since bad players are left out.
Edit:
I watched again the race, and El didn't behave nicely in last stint. He blocked in several cases and damaged other players. Please pay attention at next race, or you will have to forget racing with us.
I also calculated again how much I lost battling with burn, and it's 5.2 seconds (4.6 in first stint, 0.6 in second stint). Maybe not enough to win, but it would've been good to put some pressure on Tijny. Cya next race then

1 @ Burn : im just standing behind lux here Burn Quote: Also, I wasn't lapped yet, I was trying to keep him from lapping me. Burn you need to learn that this is not nascar its F1 whenever a car is almost being lapped lets say 1.5 2 sec you HAVE TO give room for the leaders doesnt matter what circumstance. the rules were clear so thats all i have to say.
2 @ Tijny : amazed by this persons quality as a racer and now also amazed by his friendly reply`s against people crashing into him
3 @ Mouse : if you mean Burn he is a driver for at least few years.
and being nervous when newcomers enter should only last for 3 races max after that i think dede should or at least someone driving in the cup should have an idea in their heads to get this problem solved as easy and fair as possible
Thats all folks hope to be able to race sometime soon
Dont beg for things do it yourself or else you wont get anything!!
No, I don't mean Burn, I mean some of the very newest (someone else signs them up... how hard is it to post in a forum).Jurgen-NL wrote:3 @ Mouse : if you mean Burn he is a driver for at least few years.Mouse wrote:Burn, it's pretty simple, you broke a big rule. And, I know after a few races people can be trusted... but it only takes one asshole to ruin a race in their first go, which cannot be stopped once they are in.

Damn. Sorry to everyone I did harm to.Mike Nike wrote: lap 37: kyyborg is not giving space to Janne and fk's up his 3rd place
lap 38: kyyborg is making life hard for me too..^^
The problem I had during whole race is that I had no idea who's behind and who's in front of me. For example, Matic, for whom I knew that is naturally faster than me, was behind me in most parts of the race, he even finished behind me (due to different strategy I guess).
I was catching ION|ziossi, I think, I got was very close to him and then somebody was going out of the pit stop, so he slowed down unexpectedly and I collided with him and both of us went out of track and lost a few seconds there. When I got back on the track I had four cars behind me. I had no idea who's who there, I just tried to keep my own perfect line, had no intention to block Janne. It's obvious from the video that he has expected me to keep an outer line, but I guess I wasn't expecting him to be so fast in the curve where he collided with me. Sorry.
During the races I'm using the HUD mode that displays my lap, fuel and damage in upper left corner of the screen. Using the HUD mode I cannot see if someone is behind or in front of me. Is there some other mode that I can use that can display if someone is one lap in front of me. With all the other HUD modes (switched by pressing TAB) I cannot see my own stats (e.g. fuel level). Is there any other mode that I am not aware of? I'm not very fond of changing HUD modes during the race as that's distracting my attention from driving.
Anyway, the race was fun. I couldn't keep driving consistent laps, made few mistakes and finished with too much fuel, but it'll be better next time.
He didn't?Whiplash wrote:You ruined Janne's race.Burn wrote: Listen, dede, please stop calling me an asshole. No, I don't think so. This is something that's missing in TS, so the best way to check positions out is to push tab as many times as needed. I do that, usually, but I understand that's hard for those who play with two hands (or if tab key is far from arrows, etc..). I play with asdw, and I have useful buttons next to driving keys: q=predictive camera, right shift=fire, tab=hud.kkyborg wrote:Is there some other mode that I can use that can display if someone is one lap in front of me. However, I suggest to give way to cars that catch you very quickly and check if there are cars ahead of one lap next to you in the straights.
Yeah, but you never get lapped.dede wrote:This is something that's missing in TS, so the best way to check positions out is to push tab as many times as needed. I do that, usually, but I understand that's hard for those who play with two hands
As dede pointed out, it's usually a good idea to give way to cars that are much faster than you. They're likely to be one or more laps ahead, and even if they aren't, I don't think it's proper to hold them off for a longer period of time. Well, not by blocking them anyway.
hmm...i had this idea before last race again..but didnt mention yet:
via /color "<playername>" <colorSeasonPosition> the serveradmin is setting the colors of each driver depending on his season position (or qualification position, if it's a new player in the season).
the color given to top5 places will be quite unique, let's say red...top5-10 get orange cars, top10-15 yellows and top15-20 greens...so slower cars (yellow, green) will more easily see if they get lapped in a race and other way around: fast cars know if they overtake or lap somebody now...
disadvantages:
1)
additional work for the serveradmin (he could post something in chat like:
1. tijny #FF0000
2. dede #FF2200
3. bade #FF4400
4. mike #FF6600
...
8. #FFEE00
9. #FFFF00
10. #EEFF00
11. #CCFF00

19. #004400
20. #000000
"change your color by typing /color <yourcolor>"
instead maybe, so all have to change it by theirselves)
2)
few drivers might prefer to drive in their common color (dede italian flag, me in green or whatever..)

Watching the video I can see I battled a little with badeend for half a lap until I got onto the straight (when I pressed tab to check), very sorry for that! I was lapping not much slower than him on my lower fuel anyway, but still
I think the biggest rule that is ignored in fairplay racing (especially in GPOR server) is the "At the first corner", bit and indeed anything where a car is alongside you going into a corner. Too many people in the GPOR server close the door and then gain speed from me, indeed, I would start to think that the Rough Racing server is getting to their heads! Also at the first corner so many people take the driving line rather than their line from their grid position means that my damage is ridiculous even if Im very careful on the brakes!
A suggestion - maybe mod all the TSB/TSE tracks to have the grid modeled at Eisenstadt? This would avoid all the really annoying rough racing at the start.
