SAR Karting
Hi fellow racers,
I'm wondering if any of you guys would be interested in me holding a simple karting championship with my upcoming SAR_11 kart.
Races would be of about 5 laps each, with 2-3 races per event on a time of the week i haven't decided yet. Grid positions would be random, quali is too much to handle... remember i said "simple" above? Could be clean or dirty racing depending on the majority.
I also make my own tracks (original or real location) which are pretty cool to race on with the kart i will offer. Much of them have never been posted here so it would ensure that nobody got too much experience out of them and it would be cool to discover new tracks for you guys i think!
What about it ?

Thx for your interest guys !
Sorry i took time to reply to you but i was busy making some tracks and with the family and all...
I think Del is right suggesting we make the events last longer ! I think the 5 laps of 5 races per event seems the better compromise at the moment because 10 races per event would give me too much track-making do to !!! And i don't wanna give you guys crap to race on!
Here's a first release of the first events. Final details will come in about 2 weeks, including rules, calendar, points, etc...
Color codes :
Red : Track missing
Orange : Work In Progress
Blue : Track done but needs review or minor adjustments
Purple : Track done but needs total overhaul
Green : Done and ready to be raced on
Event #1 - Date/Time TBA
What time (timezone) would fit you the best on weekend days?

You are welcome to use SCARTS ovals with banking in the corners if you wish...

I suggest you to use my Kart-Promade for the league.
No offense Whiplash, but your kart is way too slow...Whiplash wrote:I suggest you to use my Kart-Promade for the league.
For this championship, I want to offer you guys a kart that will test your skills and reaction time.
The SAR-1 Kart has proven to be hard to master, but with hundreds of races on its counter (with my coworkers) it still has to get boring! It was designed the day i took a real world-class championship karting machine on the track.... and it behaves much as the real thing does, or at least as i could make it feel in TS. You risk to be surprised how fast it goes at first, but, like in real life, if you never stepped in a race car before you can't expect to push it through corners right away, it requires some getting-used-to! That is why i'll post THIS WEEKEND a testing track for you to practice the new SAR-1 Kart.
The kart will be like any real racing machine : brutally fast, split-second reactive (brake and turning), heart-pounding and exciting!!!

Here is the test track (SA_AbuDhabi_SAR-TestTrack) :

Look out for the cars download section to get the SAR-1 Kart. It is still pending review by the admin and should get available soon !
NOTE : the track is ugly and glitchy at some places... It will be entirely remade for Event #5's SA_AbuDhabi_GP race. However, it corresponds to the average track width (60-90px) and surfaces we will be racing on.

Maybe the kart he drove in real life went 700 km/h, who knows. Not sure how anyone could survive those kinds of G-forces in the corners though.Whiplash wrote:And it's suppose to be a "realistic shit".Tijny wrote:No offense, but this kart am way too f*** fast! I totally feel like a jet fighter pilot while driving it.

Track looks great, but I honestly can't see how anyone can race in that car..

interesting how i see all the vets feeling out of their element with this kart
I guess my goal is reached with you guys being not-too-happy but also not mad at me...
It is normal it throws you off your comfort zone gentlemen
@Whiplash : the realism isn't between kart speed and track proportions ro lap times... It's the reaction time and the focus required by your brain and fingers to master a brutal machine
