It depends on the car to be used.

yep depends on what type of car be used for this, it is important too the track, for 1 hour of race i think a track with smooth curve and sometimes some U curve can be good.

You can think 1 hour on a track with few curves and U curves? omg my fingers shout HELP ME!!!!!

I will enter if there is ghost mode, the car is not important for me. (i would prefer speeder or some similar custom car though).

Its good to see that people are interested in this. I promise in the future there will be a 1 hour race. What i am thinking right now is one of my tracks (from the upcoming track pack) and a custom car. My new tracks are nothing like my old ones, so dont judge them before to drive on them. Also, im thinking it will be a race similar to the Rolex Sports Car Series, cars like that (Daytona Prototype, Porche GT ect...). Of course i wont decide the setting on my own, if i want people to enter, i need to make them happy. Also, ghost mode will be OFF for this event, a large track can be used to reduce lapping. Another idea is to set a entry time. Say the tracks best lap in 46.899. well anyone who wants to enter needs to make a lap of 49.000 or better to enter. This will keep out people who fall off the pace and are in the way the whole race. Also, pit stops are pretty much 100% for this event, i will set it so it takes about 40 seconds to fill the tank, to give a nice break for the driver.

More thoughts!

some ideas and rules for the race (only for info, NOT final)
------ A special qualifying system.
Ghost - ON /// Points 0 20 19 18 ....3 2 1 (race position will set grid) /// Laps - 6 (5 flying) /// a time will needed to be beat in order to participate in the race. For example, say the fastest lap on the track is 34.867, well the target time could be set to 36.500 or better. You must get the target time or better in order to qualify for the event. This is to prevent players from being lapped many many times during the race. Of the only way to avoid this, practise!!!

Pit settings - 1 hour race - 13 minute lasting fuel load. This will set up for a 4 stop race. 17 minutes fuel load for a 3 stop race.

Race settings - Ghost - OFF /// Car - a type of car similar to a Formula-1. A car with some speed is needed, driving an antislider for 1 hour will cause your brain to explode 30 minutes in. /// Track - a track with all different types of turns and straights: sweepers, 45s, 90s, 135s, 180s, long spread, and funnel turns. straights of all different lenghts. also, a longer track (over 1 minute lap times) will do 2 things. 1. - prevent lots of lapping. 2 - keep the track from geting stale early on.

I and benzinfurz talked of this earlier, he has asked to assist me in organizing this. We both agree that a possible league can come from this. I think a 5 race league would be good. Each with different lengths (1 - 2 hours).

A league of this type i think would need some support from Jollygoodgames or Ande (like the puna world cup). this will increase the level of this event and will take on more drivers. [example-] "The JollyGoodGames Endurance Sports Car Series" or "Official Turbo Sliders Sports Car Enduracne League" who would say not to that???

Please, we are looking for input on everyone! what do you think of this? give your ideas!

Thanks

I'm in :)

Mouse, on TSB we had 3 races of 1hour each. The cars were Astrastockcarbr and Lancerstockcarbr on those tracks: BF-Estoril, BF-Santa Cruz and BF-Brasilia.
I remember you showed up in one of those but you quit at the beginning of the race. I got my fingers aching at the end but the race was worth it, because the cars were fast enough to keep fun.
