Slider is definitely my favourite. I also like Speeder and AntiSlider while EasySlider and Spinner are usually rather boring.

Anti, FTW.

Here is an old poll of the same topic:

Oh, there are some nice words from Tijny, that now can be applied to AntiSlider:
I've never quite understood the EasySlider-only-policy on the Playtrix demo server either. EasySlider has become too "important" compared to it's competitiveness and that's mostly to blame on the Playtrix Demo server. It's ruining the game in a way: more and more new players only get to drive 1 car, but when they purchase the game they can't be competitive with the "better" cars on the full servers. Also, the longer a player is fixated on driving only one car, the harder it will become to try something new.
Right now new players (if we even have any) play AntiSlider only, which makes even more impossible for them learning and appreciating new cars. I started playing with EasySlider as demo car: it was fun because there were lot of players. When I bought full version, Slider and Speeder and Spinner were quite easy to learn too, since they were very similar to EasySlider. Just AntiSlider felt something different, but it didn't take ages to learn it and get very close to best players.

Go to check out those who start driving with AntiSlider. They can be 0.2 slower than top players with that car, but they will be about 2 secs/lap slower with sliding cars! Nearly all top players started playing before 2007. Guess why ;)

Well I started in 2005 and played for a while with the nickname jazzboy. I stopped  playing in 2006 and I was very good with speeder and slider (couldn't drive Antislider to save my life and still cant). I started playing in 2008 again and I forgot how to play most of cars. Back to the point, Im guessing because most players sinc 2007 can only drive with the antislider.

Fortunately it wasn't "spinner only policy" as that would have been soo annoying! As everyone can guess, spinner aint my favorite car...

I mostly like antislider and slider, both "extreme sides" :)

Definitely slider, followed by antislider. The other cars are more or less useless, spinner in particular.

Why does everybody have to hate the spinner.

There are some really good spinner drivers who obviously like it enough.

Personally, I like easy slider among the defaults, because it's a good mix of sliding/control and easy enough to master for newbs. Biggest drawback is that the defaults are not balanced enough IMO, some car is always going to have an advantage... unless the track is perfectly balanced, and even that won't help.

I like my own cars best... well not really since I never finished any. :P

Now i'd have to say i like all the default cars because they all have different characteristics, which for me makes them fun to drive.

True, you need different driving styles for mastering them all. Obviously it requires some dedication to learn them, but I think that gives the oppurtunity to everybody of being excellent players with one of those cars.
AntiSlider has lot of dedicated drivers, so it's harder to make it to the top, even though it's easy to learn and gap isn't that big.
EasySlider was used as demo default car in the past, so general level is quite good too.
Slider is similar to EasySlider, but requires a very dedicated style. A bit hard to compete with top players.
Speeder requires some skills, but there aren't many top players with it. Gap to top players is quite big for beginners though.
Spinner limit hasn't been reached by anybody, I guess, and it's easy for beginners.

Which is why about a year ago, when GPOR and Ippon teams were rivals, I tried to have him killed via sending a ninja to Italy to find him.. though it failed....

dede, do you remember this conversation in a server a while back? :P I'm pretty sure you were punting me off-track all night in a rough cup when i talked about sending a ninja after you... good times.

Now for my on-topic response. I think Anti is usually pretty popular because of how easy it is to drive. It's usually the first car chosen to learn the game (was for me, anyway) it it feels more like a "home" car.

mmmm because i prefer racing cup my best car was anti, who know me, know what type of cup i prefer...easy/slider and company "for me" are good for offroad tracks or some particular tracks

with the anti and some skilled/fair players (i remember the great battles against etana without any rough move and continuos interchange of passing) you can feel the real essence of turbo sliders, that I dont feel with the other cars

i've created too tracks/cars to feel much this sensation (toca pack)...

at least "so boring" my best car was antislider!!
