SCARTS - 2009 NASCAR COT Models
It's a slightly dated image, but all of the cars you see in this photo are included in the newest SCARTS Car pack.

Here is the download for the newest SCARTS Full Throttle Cup cars. These cars will be used in the new season starting soon! Now there are 39 cars made, all of the same strength but only visual differences. The elasticity is set low to allow you to push draft somebody along a straightaway so you don't rebound so much doing so. Head to http://scartsracing.darkbb.com if you are interested!!!

F1-1987 CARSET
Hi,
this is my first carset.
At the beginning it was intended as a image only carset with a 8-bit cars look.
After a while I decided to make a car that could fit the image style.
this carset is a beta version as car behaviour instead images are pretty final.
My F1 1987 car has been balanced for TSE tracks
it is fast (maybe a bit too much I am considering slowing it a bit)
at high speed it understeers entering a corner
but braking too late or forcing a corner causes oversteer and tail to nose.
My first intention was to avoid tail-braking, it SHOULD be faster if you brake after lifting the accelerator instead than breaking keeping the accelerator flat.
You can use the "F1 1987_Carset.car" file if u wanna see every 1987 F1 team color
or use "F1 1987_Car.car" if u wanna use only the Red CAR (for multiplayer)
Every team car is equal to each other, no performance differences between top teams and other cars
Any feedback will be appreciated so please try it and let me know
and after this public betatest phase
I will release a final version with alle the bug fixes included.
(i am developing a 1987 F1 TRACKPACK ad some other F1 CARSETS)
I hope you like it

Good job Fabrik! I must admit that I tested your car with in mind the TSE-F1 version, but it's totally a different feeling. With this I do not want to say that it's a bad car, it's just something totally new.
In my opinion TSE tracks aren't the best for your car. It reminds me the TSB-F2 or other brazilian cars, so I like it better on default tracks (non-photoshopped).
Maybe it's a bit too big? We are used to smaller cars..

I edited his cars to TSE-F1 car settings (also I made it smaller) and I have to admit that it doesn't look bad at all.dede wrote:Good job Fabrik! It would be better to have only 1 car (coloured to default red), than have whole pack.
Good work Fabrik. You found a nice models.
I guess I'll give my feedback too then. While I like the idea of slidey TS does limit it quite a bit. It's very hard to drive longer corners that you feel you should be able to take flat out without going into "half-slide mode" (before smoke comes out) which makes your speed drop considerably. The steering may be a bit too fast (though I don't know if it would work at all like you intended if it was slower). You could also try increasing the nonslidesector but that would create 2 problems: the spin-off effect would be less common and people may not like seeing dorifto F1 cars (though TSB-F2 used to be quite popular I think... It has a similar effect and you should check it out). As dede pointed out, it may be a bit too big for current tracks. If you want to race with others the elasticity should also probably go down. The sound is nice though.
Ok, let's sum up some of the suggestion received..
First of all Which should be the optimal scale to reduce the car dimension?
and which could be a good value for elasticity?
Regarding the ideal track for the car I think that the way think the car will be the way you drive it, and the way you drive it will fit a particular kind of track.
(i wouldn't be too much physlosophic)
I tried to make a car that makes its best if you let it go, without keeping always accelerator flat.
For long corner you should arrive fast and then lift from accelerator and let the inertia do the rest, you can push again once you sto steering or the car will slide and loose speed
(this could be different if we had gears, but we have not)
So the car is intended to be driven doing a sort of formula:
FLAT GAS on straight
LIFT+LITTLE BRAKE (if needed) before a corner
NO GAS NO BRAKE entering a corner
GAS (a little, may be tapping it fast) after the corner apex
FLAT GAS once wheel are straight again
This should be not to far from single seat car behavior, and forces players to plan overtaking on braking points because it is very hard to take advantage on fast corners
and if you think the car this way original track are too small and simple to be funny
F1 and TSE tracks, with long straights, fast corners and hairpins will be very challenging.
Obviously you can use driving model and png to make somtehing different
if you would keep my credits for PNG files it would be nice.
for I have re-drawn the cars on GIMP almost completely

honestly not to be man i think most of these cars suck that fabrik made some bad things are lose grip wen over steer and also wen braking and turning and the car is way to big as some of y'all already addressed. i think the car has way to much speed to. i think the car should be slower than the car used for f1 but this is just what i think
fresh to death #YOLO
