Can't believe both of the finalists from the last World Cup finished bottom of their groups this time around though lolol

My predicted top 4 were Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Spain (this morning that is) - but after watching that game I guess anything could happen now!

Luckily didn't matter in the end - we were completely outclassed and deserve to go home (in fact, we've deserved to go home ever since the Algeria game!)

The 4-1 end result was in no way a fair reflection of the teams' relative strengths, and if not for the referee's incompetence, England would've had chances to win the game.

German luck as always.

it took not even a minute to make clear it was a goal! its from last olympic games! even in tennis every player has the chance to use the video proof 3 times! football sucks this way!

So true & as for Lampard's goal which wasn't given you can't have moments like that in the world cup its clear they need goalline technology or goalline officials because it could cost any team dear.

I concur. If the goal had stood, it would've been an entirely different game. And that's what I hate most - the result wasn't decided by fair play. Actions have reactions etc.. if you take it in a very speculative-philosophical way then, if it had been 2:2, the ball would have been put to play from the middle spot and would have made its way to entirely different locations event by event, making it possible that Germany might have never scored 2 more goals thereafter. All in all, we will never know what 'would have been', so.. yeah, screw the referee and let's have some video replays, ffs. How long can you go on with this.. USA goal too..

All 1/8 finals so far have ended negatively.. for me anyway

Let's hope the tides change - for Monday at least..

Argentina ROFL, On the big screen in the stadium it was shown it was offside but he was to pussy to even see it on the screen to not count the goal!!! Disgrace!
