16:9 Widescreen Support?
Quick question, is there a way to play TS in wide resolution? Me and a few at the GPOR forum are wondering this.
Tried changing the resolution manually in sliders.ini but it does not work.
If it's not possible, it would be a great feature for 1.0.9 if that ever comes.

I got a widescreen laptop and TS works in there. I don't get what's wrong for you. Here's a screenshot.

Nah, still does not work for me.
Still stretches the image (it's not true 16:9 but stretched 4:3).FullScreen 1
DoubleBuffer 0
ScreenXSize 1440
ScreenYSize 900
PreferredScale 1.000000
FitInScreen 0
AdjustCameraBySpeed 0
EnlargeToFitInScreen 1
MenuEffects 1
ShowTireMarks 3
AlphaBlending 1

Is it just me, or those figures aren't wide screen?dede wrote:I got a widescreen laptop and TS works in there. I don't get what's wrong for you. Here's a screenshot.

xzeal, he probably meant that he's playing in windowed mode. I for one tried Hengari's solution and while the loading splash screen with the car and 'Turbo Sliders' written on it appear as a 4:3 on 16:9 (the height is the same as the monitor normal resolution and the edges are black, so the width is not fully stretched). In the selection menu it was okay already, it was 16:9 in its glory and when I tried playing in servers, everything looked perfect widescreen, too. Thus, basically, the editing on sliders.ini did the trick here for me.
Mouse might be right there.Mouse wrote:Still stretches the image (it's not true 16:9 but stretched 4:3).
I tested 1440x900 and 1024x768 resolutions in windowed mode and took some screenshots. The images didn't seem to be stretched but you never know.
