Delay in Controls

Post by [FTR] Burnout » Tue Jun 23, 2009 3:21 am

A friend of mine has been interested in Turbo Sliders but he encounters a problem in a 'delay' while steering the car. He could hit the left key for example to steer, but it doesn't react right away. I was wondering if there's a way to fix this issue for him.

F10, check CPU load and FPS. I believe it doesn't run smoothly. Try different video settings (opengl, sdl, directdraw; disable all effects and so on..).

When posting this kind of issues, CPU, memory and gfx memory should be posted as well.

Alright Dede. I'll get him to sign up and provide you with some system specs. Thanks.

You wanted specs?

CPU Load is 100% FPS was always between 20 and 26, and I tried everything...my computer's memory is 510 MB and an Intel Celeron processor with 1300 MHz...which from what I've heard, is extremely obsolete...

As I thought, game doesn't run smoothly :)
By "I tried everything" you mean you tried all combinations of video settings? SDL, OpenGL, DirectDraw, turn off all eye candy effects (alpha blending, skidmarks, etc..), run the game in windowed mode and/or with different resolution.

That's what I mean by "everything", every kind of combination!

Yes, I've tried all of that except for reinstalling the whole game from scratch. Surprisingly, that worked when I had the same issue on MRO.

Problem solved Dede! Turns out, the program 'Game Booster' fixed his responsiveness issues. It terminates any programs eating up memory and cleans out your memory to allow for better, less laggy gameplay. Its a free download if you Google it.

From google i have found some similar programs with this same function.... i think this you have used:

It's True ?

I have a similar you problems... when i try to start this game (v2.0.0) the CPU Usage raise at 100% (only in OpenGL) and at this time i need to terminate the process sliders.exe for back to a normal situation!
