Two questions

Post by Whiplash » Sun Jul 12, 2009 9:40 am

I'm new one too. At first, my english sucks. I played two years three demo tracks in 1.6 and 1.8 versions of TS. :) So 2.00 is big gift to me. My two years practicing result that i'm not too bad driver now (i think so) , but there is so many new tracks for me that i must drive and practise. Anyway, I have two questions:
1. "I want to change my 'main nickname' in my profile. It's 'Ado' now, but I want to change it in 'Whiplash' what is my username and driver name too. I see 'Ado' on 'players list'; I want it to be 'Whiplash'. So, is it possibe?
2. What is difference between demo player and player who bough a licese?

Nicknames and double nicks aren't well handled by TS, so in order to have unique entries in statistics we have to merge double nicks manually.
However, now you can select your main nickname from your player profile page.
I recommend not to change nickname too often, so that you won't compare under several names. If you are playing from different computers, I recommend to use the same data/players.da2 file in both installations (that file handles nicknames), so the nickname will be unique.

TS 2.0.0 has been released with a fully functional demo, because number of full licensed players wasn't high enough to provide them enough fun in the servers. Purchasing a license now doesn't give any extra features, except the possibility to host/join a server reserved to full version players (at the moment I've never seen/used this 'feature' anyway).
License is now a way to contribute and support the game, just like donations in other games.
