Why the harshness and unfairness

Is this how you welcome new players? By banning them on every sever because they aren't as great as players as dede? Everyone started as a so called "newbie".

I made one mistake on a server and iam very sorry of it. I dont even get a warning neither a second chance but Dede just banned me on every server.

Iam surely not the only one who ever pushed someone in the pits and and as i said before iam very sorry and i hope you accept my apology.

Also i read the rules and i also saw this
"In most cases everything gets solved by banning them couple of times and giving warnings, but in few cases those won't just stop behaving like idiots. "

Why didnt I got a warning or just a kick first to show iam doing something wrong

And please no childish comments like in the server.....

No, that's not the way we welcome new players. But no excuses for old players, especially if their main goal has always been screwing up people's races.

I remembered your nickname since June 2008, at Keppana's Speed Racing. You played few laps and they you started to drive backwards. Your second chance was give as soon as you joined the F1 server, since I've been told (but actually, I don't believe) that people can change their behavior and the way they play the game.

There are several players doing what you did, so I just decided that we'll "accept" (and by accept I mean that players won't get immediate permanent ban) those actions only from newbies. About non-newbies, I actually don't care if they won't be able to play TurboSliders anymore. We can sacrifice couple of players to have more clean servers.

Too bad that TurboSliders doesn't offer centralized misures such as MRO does: I would be happy to lock idiots' PC so that they won't be able to play the game anymore.

About unbanning people and giving second chances, I lose several minutes in order to do that, and most times it ends up with people behaving bad again. They just become smarter: they know who are the admins and they won't do anything when admins are in the server, but when there are no admins they play as bad as before.

I really didn't play this game in '08. You must be confusing me with someone else. If i understand your post right you say iam a non-newbie, i don't know where you got this from since iam a new player but ok. 1 Minut after the start iam always at the "arriere de la course".

And still i didnt got a single warning and you can't just judge all the new/bad players that way......

It's always funny to see people complaining when they realize they can't be idiot anymore.
I actually started to believe your story, since there are actually 2 entries in my database with your nickname. Different IP's but still same nationality.
But too bad for you that I keep logs since 2006, and apparently you are unlucky too, since I typed /who when you joined in June 2008.

This is unbelievable but that must have been my brother (sounds cliche i know) because Pingu is his acount and Eric is really mine. And surely i don't play Poker.. And still iam not a non-newbie and only broke rule "once not on accident", isn't a kick first less hassle then insta ban without warning? If I came back after a kick and would still do the same thing then ok.... But this? This is just unbelievable

Ps. what was the reason for the ban on the server with the speed cars then? You was leader and i almoust moved into the grass to let you pass and also let the other pass nicely in the corners

This has been complained by several (banned) players, so I'll make it clear once for all. Idiots often think that they can do whatever they want, and they can't get convinced by warning them or by praying them. They simply won't care if they get banned to a server, because there are several others out there. They probably behave well in servers where they like to play, they f*** up in "non interesting" servers.
When they realize all servers are managed by the same community, it's often too late. And I love to hear them crying.

Anyway, you and Emanuel are banned for some time until I change my mind and I give you another chance. You can both keep complaining and giving excuses, mail the owner of the website and the game author, and so on. I just won't care.

Yes i meant really me*. I made this account Pingu so it was clear for everyone that it was about this issue (Pingu got banned), dunno if there's a way to change my name in other topic i saw this had to be done by a Admin or so? (Whiplash's one)

And the F1 server is the one I like the most and in the more boring one with the speed cars I drove normally as hell and got banned for nothing , so i dont see the logic there.

In that server you weren't banned just because the server didn't restart yet. The ban was already applied to all servers, so I simply ran the banlist-update when you joined the server.

Anyway, the story about brother and sister is pathetic. Is it hard to write things honestly from the beginning? Or even admitting them later when you've been discovered?

However, the decision is taken. Your ban remains as long as I feel so. Maybe some days, maybe some weeks, maybe more. Just start to behave from now on, in any server.

Same treatment for Emanuel, so that I don't have to explain everything through msn again.

maybe an evidence to be his brother could change something...
but logging in as pingu instead of own nick in forum sounds a bit strange...
imo, just in case, if you arent his brother, it could be better to say the truth and excuse

reading the sentences, i would bet you regret and wont race against rules on purpose in the future...
dedes decisions as admin used to be good ones though.. - so, i wish you good luck man, but im not going to try to convince dede to unban you so fast as well

Presumably, if Pingu is your brother's nick, it would have occured to you that your brother was racing last year and as soon as dede mentioned that he'd seen the nick before, you would know that it might be true and that what he's saying probably isn't nonsense.

And on top of that, unless you're a bit 'further down on the intelligence scale', you would instantly have realised who he was confusing you with as soon as you wrote that sentence, and told him straightaway.

But it was only after dede proved he'd seen the nick before that you suddenly mentioned it's your brother's nick.

That's the big give-away, for me anyway. It seems more than suspicious.

I believe you were the one driving with the Pingu nick last year and therefore you've mis-behaved on more than one occasion, had your second chance and have blown it.

Having said that, I have to echo Mike Nike's sentiments here - I also believe that you've learnt your lesson now and wouldn't dare to behave in such a way again.

I'm not as harsh as dede in the sense that I do believe that people can change, and maybe you will change in the future, but that doesn't mean you do not deserve this ban now for your previous discretions.

Instead of lying and making up this whole story about your brother, be honest, accept your ban for what you've done in the past, and learn your lesson now, so that when it's lifted in the future you can prove to dede that people can and do change.

The longer you try to fight it, the more you will refresh dede's memory of your wrong-doings, and the longer your ban is likely to last.

Be honest, say you are sorry, tell that you wont drive like retarted monkey anymore... and maybe you will get your last change sooner. Otherwise, face concequences and hope your ban wont last years. Im pretty sure that your ban wont last so long if you admit that you were bullshitting us.

I already said iam very sorry for messing up a (Estana's) race by pushing in the pits. And i also said i won't do it again. But yea how can i proove

Blaze... does anyone really have evidence of this? Pingu can't prove that he wasn't driving back then, but neither can you prove that he was.

If you actually bothered reading the rest of the comments in this thread or simply just glanced at that massive picture at the top (that's the one with the big green arrow on, you can't really miss it actually) then you would find the answer to that question yourself.

Yet again, if you bothered to read the rest of the thread, you would see that dede has already provided sufficient evidence to show that Pingu was racing back then - and in actual fact, Pingu/Eric isn't even debating that either. What he's debating is whether it was himself or his brother racing under the Pingu nick last year.

And, in my opinion, he's already had plenty of opportunity to make it believeable that it was his brother racing last year, since he could've mentioned it right at the very start - maybe even at the time in the server - but instead he chose to argue that it was "nonsense", until dede proved it wasn't "nonsense", when suddenly he changed tact.

Anyway, in order to avoid making a fool out of yourself, I would advise that you read all of the previous comments in a thread before posting a comment questioning the most recent one - otherwise people will start to ignore you or not take you seriously.

Well, I think it's time to lock this conversation.

Pingu has been banned from all servers for some time, because both times I've raced with him, he showed of not being interested in racing at all. He was just trying to have fun by destroying other players' race.
I believe there is no space for these players in our community, so I actually don't mind if he gets pissed by the ban and he quits the game.
About the excuses he mentioned, he's either trying to be funny or he thinks we are stupid (who is the fool who can believe his story, after having full knowledge about the facts? Probably not even himself).

Anyway, a "second" chance will be given to both players when I'll be more active in the servers.

Case closed.
