Stats and Graph HELP needed

Post by Fabrik » Tue Mar 23, 2010 3:01 pm

Hi guys
I am playing TS with some friends on LAN and we are keeping our local server's log files
we tried to make a graph and a stats spreadsheet to keep our championsheep update but we have failed

- in log file we see this data under GRAPH DATA:
Winner laps: 4, total time: 48.477, average lap: 12.119
"killer" 0 1.744 1.489 1.202 0.942
"SIMPSONBEBOP" 0 2.495 1.929 1.556 1.209
"KukKaBubBa" 0 1.315 0.895 0.490 0.000

but we do not succeed in using this in excell

most of all when copy and past those line in excell the are pasted in 4 lines bunt only one row
For example: "killer" 0 1.744 1.489 1.202 0.942 is in 1 single cell

and so the data are un-usable for a common graph application..

In few words, can you help us to make a graph and stats for race and championship? :)

I guess you are using Excel 2007. If so, you have to use "special paste" and then select "Text". After this, there is an icon displaying right next to the area, click it and select the wizard. It should split that data into columns.

If you know anything about php/mysql, there might be a script made by a TS player that could work nicely as a ranking (demo - downloads).

Obviously I would suggest you to join our community and play online with us :P Cya!

Yeah, the forum is english-only. Use PM otherwise.

The download link seems broken indeed. I have no copies apparently on my hd.

Ok, I do this using Excel 2003 too and this is how to do it:

> Open log file and copy relevant data (shown below).

"killer" 0 1.744 1.489 1.202 0.942
"SIMPSONBEBOP" 0 2.495 1.929 1.556 1.209
"KukKaBubBa" 0 1.315 0.895 0.490 0.000

> Paste this data into a new .txt file and save (I'll call this example.txt)

> Open Excel and go to File > Open > example.txt

> A box will appear, make sure 'Delimited' is selected and click next.

> Where it says delimiters, deselect 'Tab' and select 'Space' instead. Then click finish.

> Now the relevant data is seperated into seperate rows and columns so the graph is easy to make :)

I doubt that somebody has this script. Y4nn1ck disappeared quite long ago, together with his server. You can try to contact him using the contact information in his page. If he doesn't answer, we can't do anything.

So ask them directly? Maybe they aren't reading the forum.

copy this to your browser

http://y4nn1ck.org/turbostats/

delete /turbostats/

go to Divers/autostats/
