The Spinner

Post by Pain~less » Mon Nov 29, 2004 8:12 pm

Hello everyone, you can write everything concerning the new car for Turbosliders in this topic.

I think it's a very nice car, fun to use, yet i also see a problem:
The car is too light to compete with antisliders. It will be too easy for antisliders to just push the spinners out of the way. What do you think ?

That can be true, yes, but on the other hand, Spinner accelerates so fast, that it compensates this somewhat. But only time will tell how Spinner vs. AntiSlider races go when pros are driving :).

I'm absolutely no professional when it comes to spinner-driving, yet when you look at the fastest times for the tracks, antislider is nearly always faster.

Also, the driving style of the spinner does not really feel like sliding for me.
Again, its fun to use, but no competition in most cases.

I must say that I prefer Spinner over Antislider. Even though Spinner is the "new guy of the block" I still feel it gives more "sliding" feeling than Antislider and for some tracks I think Spinner is just better. This, of course, depends on the track and driver, but then again, these are just my thoughts about it.

Slider is still the best car around, tho'.

I was able to compete with the Spinner, and for me it is like a better slider. It reminds me on the Forumla 1 car in Slicks'n'Slide.

All spinner races are usualy fun but close. I like it 8)

I dont think it should be too competitive since it's very easy to drive

That's right Jaytee, with its high acceleration minor mistakes really don't matter that much.
I still think that you cannot beat an antislider if both drivers are equally skilled.

I hate spinner because the damn lawnmower always gets stuck when I try
to cut a corner as close as possible

Naah... seriously. Spinner is a nice addition to the pack of cars available.
Even though it feels like a bit of a compromise (together with EasySlider,
now this car I really do hate). But, to each their own.

Maybe I'll lose my face, but I just love AntiSlider. Speed.Power.Supremacy.

Speed? I guess, the speed in curves due to grip, is meant ;)
Power? If AntiSlider collides another car in a curve, AntiSlider wins due to its weight.
Supremacy? In many tracks with no long straights, AntiSlider has supremacy, i must agree ;)

Concerning the car Spinner:
At first, i disliked it, because of its looking
Drivers are calling it vacuum cleaner, grasscutter, scorpion, or whatever...

And in addition the controls/steering of the Spinner i don't like so much.
I prefer more controllable cars, with not so high steeringspeed.
Due to this property of no good control of the car in tight curves, the car gets also for example stuck much easier, especially in hay ;)
People are spending sometimes many seconds, before they can get out again of a tree or hay or somewhere else, with Spinner.
It's just hard to calculate driving tight curves with Spinner, because for example: you can drive a tight curve and you think you got the corner perfect, but then, if you are just next to a tree/hay, you steer a bit more in for accelerating good in the next straight, you suddenly collide with the car image to the tree/hay, especially due to the high steeringspeed, that happens often, when driving very tight.

The spinner is a good car in my opinion but the Anti-Slider is a good car also, considering its good control. It's a tough call for me. :)

I like all the cars. Spinner is ok for some tracks, I just can be annoying on long, straight tracks. Antislider is ok is I could drive it and keep up with other racers, lol.

Slider is the best, tho.

Spinner topic! i love it :D

I can compete with antis very well i think. When anti tries to push you out you can use "overturning" so you slide front of anti trought to curve.

I think this car needs lot of skill to drive without mistakes. It is easy to make incurve collisions.

I think its like speedway bike :) do you guys agree?
Spinnering on limits...

I like it, but the sprinner some slowly car, its the problem. I have it favourite car of main cars (speeder, easy slider, antislider, slider, sprinner).

PS Even here I have a poll, I wrote about the 5 cars, what I think about them. http://www.jollygoodgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=343
