Maybe that's why many are not happy with the direction you try to get the game into...

i play on these tracks since 0.86 and i never be happy to run over, because are only boring and chaotic and you know, i like more exciting race like F1 and not bump here and there and win by lucky is fristrating for me, this is a racing game and not a stupid pinball-car-chaotic-boring-frustrating-and who have more who add them...

That's your opinion Jazzy, but many are not happy with that. If you want a Formula 1 game then I wonder why you just don't play one instead of trying to make Turbosliders into a Formula 1 game...

Also new players need to see a chance to win. If they see not any chance then they'll leave very soon. What they didn't in "the chaos days" (like you'd call it).

i say F1 style to mean normal tracks with a base lap-time near 28-30secs without bumping here and there and not specific F1 tracks like TSB.

PS: a new player to win need practice no one is born learned!!

Yep and thats boring. Especially if you have few players.

A new player shouldn't get bored.

Flexman, why don't you call your friends make a group and do some trackmaking? So you'll be playing on tracks you like.

When i played 0.86 i didn't like the big tracks because they took a very long loading on my old pc. So i've made many shortracks that fits a screen to play home, and did not blame others who likes bigtracks.

TS is a fantastic game because you can edit everything and make the game you want. There are many players who like F1 style, or long tracks as the players who like short races on little tracks.
Get brazillian example, we never races with the default cars because we think they suck but you see nobody telling Ande to remove those cars from TS.

The reason is that in Europe most players played the game when it was Slicks'n'Slide like. So I think as long as the community is too small for 2 European servers (one Turbosliders as usual and one more F1 like) we have to find a solution that somehow satisfies both sides - especially since I hear very often from different sides that people are not happy with the direction Jazzy tries to get the game into.

Of course there would be no problem if there were enough players so let's hope that Hatu really cares about the new demo mode like he said.

This is weird, why all discussion need to turn around JAZZYCLUB? im not only who make tracks, so why your discussion always include my name?

Because im the better maker? or because i made few tracks? or other things?

If i host a server, i want it like i like the game and not for the community, for this exist dedicated server like ptx or terra...

Because I heared it from many sites that others are not happy with that.

I think the problem is that you (and 2 or 3 others but nut much more) are the only active players who are left now. Plus it seemed that Andy was programming into the game what you all demanded so for many this name stands for the direction the game went into.

Or maybe because you always think you are right?

i say more of this, but you report only what you need to flame me, i ask you 3 questions: better-few-other.

Is not my problem if my tracks not like so much and Ande is not a stupid, him can decide himself and not read only my words.

you always repeat TS is slick n slide clone, but it is not, TS is BASED on slick n slide system-view-engine this not mean TS need to be the SAME game like slick n slide.

an example? few shot 'em up game use quake engine but this not mean all the games are the same...

There are two major requirements for this sort of game: keep it simple and playable. These are the strengths of Turbosliders, which should be always kept in mind. I see basically nothing wrong in adding nice graphics to the game, as Jazzyclub has done. The decoration, however, must never be made at the expense of simplicity and playability. They must never be sacrificed in TS. There are many games around in which graphics is more important than playability. These are, without exceptions, short-lived.

This was just a general remark, not intended to critize Jazzyclub or anyone else.

How can this game attract people to the game with small micro machines tracks
Hmm.. maybe because that's what this game is all about?

Anyway, this way of doing tracks was allready invented years ago, but it didn't never came a popular way of doing things, because tracks just get too big for little game like this.

But just keep'on doing whatever you are doing. Sooner or later, you'll find out that it's not the right way. Hopefully we never have these enormous tracks on autoservers.

I want to make it clear that i like all types of tracks, from the smallest and simplest one to bigger tracks.

I would like to see new track makers, making tracks of all kinds, big and small, simple and complicated.

My club members are happy with the tracks i make so thats already fine for me. We have our local championship using big tracks and F1 Cars, so basically that gives me 100% satisfaction. Once in a while i will start organising some race with the top 4 of my club vs others.

When i created a server with some of my tracks many foreigners joined and played with us. I agree that with big tracks, its important that they download the tracks before from either my site or ts-central before joining.

It is alway fine when someone organizes a cup. But I think the game should get where it was before: That you can play it with a lot of people without organizing anything.

You registered to that forum this year so I guess you do not know how it was when there were 3 servers full each evening and you could play with 15 opponents without having to wait for a cup or organizing anything.
