Missiles Racing Management

Post by lux2 » Sat Sep 12, 2009 7:27 pm

Today I started a missilesracing and i discovered that there are random tracks.
Some players were happy and some other asked for arena.

I quit because i really didn't like that.
BW shooting was too easy and natural.
In tracks with traps was too much easy to remain with only one player before the end.

I agree to have different tracks (and differnet cars too) with missiles, but these tracks must be OK for missiles. IMHO most of fun tracks are not OK.

I was a missilesracing fan, now... not.

I posted this here, but it's maybe better to move it in the forum to let all players give their opinions about this.

I think most of rough tracks are too open for missiles racing. Troubles begin to appear when you can shoot into lane that differs about 90 degrees or more (=different direction), from the lane you are driving on, or is obviously in different part of track than where you are driving in.

Certain tracks work really well, others...not.

now missile racing on arena is getting more players and more to play there,
the number of shots every reload should be minimalized a little for example: from 6 shots in 1 lap (''prolly'' 3 sec per shot) it should be 5/6 sec per shot.
so it wont only be a shot after corner after corner letting the race factor back in the game
Dont beg for things do it yourself or else you wont get anything!!

Perhaps just get a pit oval track, make the missiles factor more in damage than how much they knock you flying...

Personally, I enjoy the missiles racing, but I absolutely hate how the car gets stuck on the edge of the screen at Arena cuz of the high race of acceleration being struck by the missile, and you lose so so so much track position. Tracks will walls should be used with missiles as it keeps the action on the track and doesn't cause people to get so far off the course and out of the hunt.

I've tried our SCARTS Dover oval with missiles and its alot more fun than Arena. If you get hit, you can ricochet off the wall...sometimes you can gain position if you are lucky and sometimes you'll hit the wall at a bad angle and bounce around losing your momentum (not ridiculous hyper bouncing). With a large field of cars, its possible to create large accidents and 'big ones' if you time your hits correctly.

Its alot more fun than being sent off the course. I just hate that.
