Sunday May 22nd, 2:00 PM EST (18:00 GMT, 19:00 UK)

The tracks... Forestry, Minileap, Sandslid

The car... Easyslider

The cups...
3 Races / Cup
1 Lap / Race
Random Start Order
Promode Off
Ghostrace Off

The rules...

Finish a race in Last Place TWICE, and you're Knocked Out of the tournament.
Cups will be restarted until only one player remains.

To enter the tournament...

Simply show up!
Tournament will begin when there are 20 players, so show up on time or you will be left out!
The tournament server will be started at EXACTLY 2:00 PM EST.

NO YOU CANT DO THIS MY ENDURANCE RACE IS SUNDAY!!! nah just jokin, that will be fun, ill be in it for sure, hopefully i can last throo a few cups, ill have to practice. one lap per race? that will be good, im good at one lappers. is it rough racing? i hope so, either way it will be good.

Mouse - I didn't even realize it...

The 1-Lapper shouldn't take more than an hour I hope. Or you can start your earlier. I didn't see you mention a race time for yours

To clarify for those that are confused:

Rough Racing is to be expected

This will be a quick and dirty tournament.

So, hopefully, the more people expect rough racing, the less they will become upset.

Bottom line though, is to just have fun!!!!

hmm.... if I had to guess, I'd say that more than 20 players are interested in this tournament.

Perhaps for those that don't make it into the first one, we might do a 2nd one right afterwards. Or at some other later date. We'll see.

like I said, the server is going up at exactly 2pm... which means, if you're there at 1:59:59, you won't see the server.

Hopefully all of us "regulars" that want to participate will make it, but to be fair is to be fair, so once the server goes up, and once there are 20 people, the door closes.

If it fills up quickly, maybe we'll do another one afterwards or on Monday.

i hope lag dosent come into play, if it dosent, its gonna be fun. 20 cars at minileap, thats gonna be insane, i have never been in a race with 20 cars, cant wait. eddie we should make a Charlotte track and hold a NASCAR All Star Cup, with segments and feild inversions, since the all star is tonight, do you want to sometime?

20:00 for central europe, and 21:00 for finland and eastern europe.

Normally, UK time is GMT, but UK is in Daylight Saving Time now, so they are GMT+1.

The whole world is crazy... all these different times.

21:00 Finland

The Tournament has just ended, and I am amazed at the response it got from all you players!!!

40 players participated in the tournament!!!!

Final Results:
1st Place - powerhead
2nd Place - [TL] Ammo
3rd Place - [WP] Pappa

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Four 1st Round groups of 10 were run, with the top 3 in each advancing to the final of 12 players. Unfortunately 2 of the final 12 did not show up for the final.

Suggestion for next time:

1st round: 8 players with 2 lifes, 4 get in next round -> less lag and easier to get in next round (too many good players in first same round is not good

)

half final of 8 players with 3 lifes for everyone at another day
final at the half final day with also 3 lifes.

Just a suggestion. Great it would be of course, if all happens at one day.

For suggestion to the knockout tracks: It could be better to have only one track to drive or if using demo tracks with sandslid and forestry. Minileap is a bit short for knockout.

That's surely true, Hengari

Kind KnockOut scenes in Minileap are:
1st curve: if you get pushed into the grass or if you crash into the hay or in the edge of the next obstacle (or if you are blocked and crash due to the block) - that is normally a fast defeat.
Later you can be pushed before jumping or being blocked by crashing into the car in front of you, when it is crashing into the hay, or in last curve you can be pushed out (or in a big mass blocked too).

But normally 1st curve already decides your death, if you crash, while in Sandslid and Forestry you have still a chance after crashing in 1st or 2nd curve - though: the less players the less chances you will have.

In my opinion the track may stay, so it keeps a totally Demo Cup. Well, i would be fine with both, for me to stay alive longer: no minileap

but if i would fell a decision for all, i would include minileap.

Well, it is free for vote. I can imagine, many drivers think like you, Hengari, but i think too, that a lot want to have "their" sweet little Minileap in every Demo Cup, since it might be their favourite track, for example.

i agree, it is really short and is very hard to make a good lap, thats how i got eliminated, hit that first hay and got stuck. STUPID HAY

mabye for the next one we can use all 23 default tracks instead of the 3 demo tracks. or have 23 tracks on saturday and demo tracks on sunday.
