Starting Turbosliders

Post by Pingu » Sun Dec 20, 2009 1:44 pm

When i hit the shortcut on my desktop or just the sliders.exe it takes like 30 seconds to start turbosliders now. When i first started to play it it was just instant. And now it's taking longer everytime i play it.

Is their a way to fix this? And what could be causing this slowdown :x

I thought that, but i only have it with turbo sliders

I fully defragmented my pc also.... did 2 full system scans and more :). Could it be something with the recorded games?

Not sure, but it might be because of tracks. You could try moving your tracks folder to the desktop and load ts.. If it works, there you have your explanation. If it takes years to quit, you most probably have generatehtmlonexit option set to 1 (in sliders.ini).

That probably could work, but I think the direct cause are the record files. I'd try renaming my /records2/ folder first, and see if that fixes things. If it does, you could try to lower the amount of laptimes saved on each track.

Yeah, now I remember that I had that problem as well. My current settings are:

Code: Select all

TopListSize 25
LocalPlayerTopListSize 10
RemotePlayerTopListSize 0
GenerateHtmlStatsOnExit 0
This way, I save only local times, plus top25 best times.
