I want to raise a debate on what should or could be done about mods who take their jobs off limit. What could be done in a case when a mod starts to hassle with a thread. F.ex a short while ago I faced egomanic mod who's personal jihad and prejudices caused my topics first being moved to least active part of the forums and then later on locked, after placing a bit of well constructed critic against nazi-minded mods who think they have the right to play gods here, doing this and that while giving only fair-arsed reasoning about their action.

Now my question is, how do U as a member of TS (forum) active community think a mod should treat u or behave in general for that matter? Should everyone be treated equally regardless of their position?How could we improve our position and how could we make the forums more friendly place with LESS forum abuse by powerhungry people? Also I'd like to know does anyone else here have alike experience of which I mentioned above. If so, do not feel afraid to come out. IT'S TIME TO STAND UP FELLOW DRIVERS! these questions deserved to be answered.

You are the only one in the forum that thinks like this, The mods are here to help the community, keep people from spamming. And they are doing a very good job of it. If you keep up what your doing your going to end up like I did as Raptor. Look at me now, I don't spam anymore I know I have changed. I don't have to make a mess out of everything I say. So please do not spam 24/7 over a post that was moved. Get over it.

Although the SirWhite's original topic was bs, I agree that it was dumb to move it to off topic. That message concerned ts as much as waza's own "i got kicked from ippon" novel. Sir's original topic has more views than some topics at general discussion, so someone should move those other topics to off topic too I guess? If you had to do something to it, why not just lock it and leave it there?

It's been a very long time... and so many sleepless nights thinkin about this wonderful game. The other day we had a long talk with my brother SirBlack about the good old times sharing a common hobby called Turbosliders. Now we wonder making a long lost comeback and renew the honour and reputation of 1 of the most remembered, powerful and feared teams of the early days of TS, a name that got lost and which maybe only a handful of ya current n00bies probably know.

My approach in this matter is very one-sided but I think it is necessary to inform people on how seriously they should respond to these kind of comments.

Back in 0.86 the whole col 'team' used to a constant part of a upcoming
default banlist on ptx turbosliders servers., sirwhite and -black particularly. Unfortunately the game died as we all know in '04 and the full version of serveradmintool (SAT) and bansystem never saw the daylight.

In the past I have personally witnessed several times the misbehaviour of the col 'team' and even given another chance for them to improve their habits with no success at all. 1.0ers can't most probably even imagine what kind of abusive playing we are talking about here since nothing like it hasn't yet happened in 1.0 due to pro mode and more importantly low community size.

What ever comes to cols I'm stand strongly against them and to tell the truth I wouldn't resist removing all their posts from this official forum. (Of course this is something that must not be done for the sake of free speech.) After all I find it contradictory that a col member even accuses anyone behaving in a bad manner.

My "novel" 1st of all is a lock topic and is regarding ts and surely is NOT off topic. (ds: off topic = not regarding ts if you don't know...)
As dede show COL's posts are very off topic.
If there was a shit topic i would have placed it them there.

Anyway our job will not be disturbed by a maniac who has lots of spare time.
If you haven't understand it they are just trying to ruin our game like they were trying to do in 0.86.

And erm... How on earth have ("we?") destroyed anyones' game exactly? I believe none of the guys in my team haven't purchased v1.0 yet, including myself. However if u know differently then u must be right - u r THE mod after all!

Ps. answer me in PM so ppl might stay on topic plz. And plz do us all a favor and do not post here anymore unless u really feel like u can endure abit of self-critisism, which is exactly what it's required unless u want to go dig up "off-topic" again. Which tho I honestly believe to be too much of a task to ask of u.

I think that mod's job is to move threads and delete offensive/stupid/childish/racist topics.

This is the only sentence I agree with SirWhite amongst all her posts. I see not one reason why any of her topics should be replied. Well, I did as well, but for my defense, this is the first, only and last reply. Simply disregarding these kind of posts is the best weapon against them.

My best guess is ppl that've comed up with positive feedback r the ones with the closest relations to our belowed moderators, however I guess we will find out when the biggest part of TS playerbase recover from hangovers - it is a weekend, after all

Like I said, SirWhite's post was what it was, but it was about the game. General discussion is for general discussion about turbo sliders am I right? Off topic is for posts like "i got a new dog today". So delete/lock those messages that you think are irrelevant for the board, don't hide them in the closet where they don't belong.

Still one thing. You guys have no sense of humour? If someone is willing to pay 20 euros to get "extra protection", it's a crime to let the sucker keep his money.

- Dede is the man who kicked me from MY team after years of efforts
- Mikko, i don't have him in my msn, i never speak with him (unfortunatly). Also if i appreciate him a lot and agree with him in 99% of this topics.

After a quick read of the whole thread, i have not changed my mind.

I think most people here agree that SirWhite's threads where "shit" - as it was pointed out early in the thread. So why keep these shit threads in general discussion? Move them to off topic.

It really does not matter where your topic is posted, SirWhite. People enter the forum and see the little orange page icon. They think "hey new post" and go read it, no matter where it is. The forum does not get so many posts per day that it is impossible to read every new post.

I will lock again. Any more posts like this i will simply take mikko's advice and ignore them.
