Idea is good, but is it suitable to every situation. For example has URL been around long enough, when was it founded? And that would cut me off from Ippon's squad too...Punatiainen wrote:Also i have earlier proposed that only team which have existed over 3 months would be allowed. Turbosliders Team Cup -Swoot Team Champion-

Here it comes my opinion. I'd like too playing only with "real" teams in this cup, but at the same time I think that a team sometimes need no tag. Let's make some example:
[TL] is composed of finnish players only, chosen carefully by the team. Even if they don't play so much lately, they know eachothers and they can be considered a team. Probably they aren't active in TS, but they chat everyday or so. Probably most of them are also friends outside TS.
Ippon² is composed of players from different countries. The main criteria of recruiting players are behaviour and skills. This means that in first months new players don't feel so much part of the team: we are not real friends outside TS (real = we meet in real life). The team "feeling" comes after playing together, chatting, etc (it takes months).
[URL] and [Swoot] are probably like Ippon², [v8] and [GPOR] are like [TL].
Let's now talk about two new teams: [dp] and [NoLo] (even though I don't know if the second one has other members beside Z).
[NoLo] was founded by Z some week ago, and the recruiting works like Ippon², [URL], [Swoot], etc.. (just with different criteria). I wouldn't say that a team composed by Z, xzeal, etana, VPA, olio, Matti, Kobradog, TheDude, Lamppu and Chukie can be considered a real team, though Z started this project 1 month ago.
[dp] was founded few days ago by a group of finnish guys who wanted to join the team cup. This team sounds like a new [TL]: players know eachothers very well, they speak/play together everyday, though they created the team only now.
So, what I'm trying to say is that you can't establish which team is real and which isn't just basing on the creation date. Some team need a lot of time to become a real team, some other needs just few hours.

Dede said it well and I mostly agree with him (even I am surprised
)
There has always been arguing what is a real team when talking about team cups. People take this game way too serious in some ways. It's just a game although it creates great passions and emotions.
In my opinion [URL] and new recruits to Ippon² are ok. They have good foundation and have been recruiting new players before there was this cup thing. Also [dp] is kinda ok, based on same kind of thinking and playing although made in mind of this team cup stuff. I hope it also continues after this team cup.
I would be more concerned if some superb team would magically pop up just now when there is use for that. For example a team with Janne, Tijny, Matti, Maunokasa or other good teamless driver which haven't been near joining up any teams.
The more we have teams the more fun it may be (or not). Although I would like to see more smaller teams than some very big teams like Ippon and GPOR.
PS. Oh, I think that [dp] is a superb team

GPOR isn't a team. They are a clan, a big community.Hengari wrote:The more we have teams the more fun it may be (or not). Although I would like to see more smaller teams than some very big teams like Ippon and GPOR
Ippon² was a big team (it was needed to keep the team alive in the past). Now we have 8 members (1 more than [TL]). I think this number of members is fine to keep the team active (even if 1 or 2 players don't play so often in certain periods, the team is still alive -> this doesn't happen with relatively small teams like [Flow] or [WP], for example). Anyway, I wouldn't set a min/max limit of players in a team: as long as members are really part of the team, the amount of players doesn't count.
Yep, I can guess it by looking their website.dede wrote:GPOR isn't a team. They are a clan, a big community.
I didn't say that. It is good that there is enough drivers to keep the teams running and active even if some drivers aren't so active always (like in TL now). I just thought aloud that there are so few teams that some more couldn't hurt.dede wrote:Anyway, I wouldn't set a min/max limit of players in a team.
For example I would have liked to see the new players like olio, Lamppu and Jan to form a new team with some other new drivers

about GPOR:
basically we are a little community and we use to play any simple and "old school" multiplayer online game. (TS, netsoccer, SWOS, batracer, hattrick ect..)
Actually the most active TS players are: Mouse, Jazzyclub, Kajo, Rivolta, Speedy and me.
Generally we are not looking for new members, simply who join our community randomly, try often all other games and could be a new TS player. As far as I can remember, no one was invited or banned from GPOR clan: always who dosen't feel GPOR spirit leaving it from himself!
I guess that's why we are a happy community

That would be great idea but we just went on different teams and I think we will stay there.Hengari wrote:For example I would have liked to see the new players like olio, Lamppu and Jan to form a new team with some other new drivers
About that team cup thing I think that [dp] mustn't join because it seems that they made that team just for this cup. I don't have anything against that team and it is always nice to see a new team in TS. So if [dp] plays in team cup or not i hope to see it after the cup too.
PS. Sorry my bad english.

We need 1 more vote from Cup council!!!
We need to create a rank sistem.
Wazaari proposed something like that:
For each single cup:
- Winner team will get 1 point
- Looser Team will get 0 points
- If 1 match will not played Cup Organisation will decide if giving victory to 1 team or not
-
A general rank will summarize each monthly cup
Suggestions???

lol, sry? Not really. Same rules for everyone. Just explain why you need to set your color: in rough racing with 12 players in the cup you need to know who's your mate and who's not. Having team colors make it much easier. And since most cups will be about rough racing and xbowl, team colors for everyone are welcome.Team_Cup_Organisation wrote:ok, ds is allowed to keep is colors.
Other normal people pls use all a team color in order to make the cup easier!! thanks
