(Race is 42 laps on Alteradius, right? With the settings you described above, in the first post? Like this - fuel settings:
Amount: 600 sec. of accel. Fill: 10 sec. Idle cons.: 75.0 % Full slowdown: 7.0 %)

Everything correct?

Yep, you're right... I correct my post.

The qualify will have 3 laps, the race 42. You can set your startfuel before the race starts.

Sorry but i just HAVE TO say how happy i am with the results from that 1st race

Qualified 4th ... Finished 3rd

Until now i've only ever raced in the Terra Demo Server, taking part in the occasional rough cup now and then so this really is my debut official race.

BUT!! ... The one thing i really MUST say is that without Etmil i'd have finished last. So all i really want to do is thank him publicly for all the help he gave me

... I've got a BRILLIANT team-mate!!

could'nt expect anything better i got dissconnected on my hot lap and ended up pretty much last so 4th aint bad.

Bad pit strategy ruined my race...or should i say I ruined my own race

Otherwise, my race was allmost perfect, only one collision in pitlane fence and lap times were pretty ok... So think wise when choosing ur pit strategy.

I think I was just slow in race and qualifying as well.. the qualification started out well, knowing that my 1st lap will not be the best anyway, I found myself a good spot (even though ghost was on, you don't want to have shadows lurking around your car when driving). So I went on my 2nd lap and it came out pretty much average - 17.4. Last lap was 0.1s slower. So I don't know, for some reason it felt a bit different than before when I'd been warming myself up, driving some laps on Alteradius. During the qualification I felt that my driving line was totally off, maybe I overstrained a bit, I'm not sure. In race, 5th or 6th position seemed possible for me, but me, sucky as I am, I made many unnecessary driving errors, which were easily avoidable. Finally, 8th place, not that satisfied but as iBlaze said, still one point, perhaps of unimaginable value, right there.

PS. Hmm, now looking at the standings, I see that I even got 8 points and /TR/ are 2nd in team standings! That's kind of great. And iBlaze, you're welcome to get any help you need - thanks for the kind words.

today I'm going to have a test @ 3.00 pm (CET) with a track of Punatiainen (slightly modified, I tried to add pit lanes)

I'm planning to change some tracks. The next one should be ArenaRaceway, but it's way to short. So I'd like to add 2/3 new tracks and remove the short ones

He's not playing anymore, is he? (Punatiainen) I'd like to ask him if I can use and modify his tracks.

There should be also a testing session at around 11.00 pm (CET)

Actually Puna was playing just last week, and I don't think he'll be happy if you modify his tracks. He's made quite a few tracks with a pitlane, and also, there are plenty of good pit-tracks from other authors to choose from.

I found a good track (Puna's track again). I sent him an e-mail, because I would like to use pu_Tilulei instead of ArenaRaceway

I just hope it's his actually e-mail

I assume that the Mouse tracks we are getting rid of will be ArenaRaceway, DesertRaceway, Mudway and Nanaring?

Well how about using Alabacos by Jarno as 1 of the replacements because that's 1 of the tracks i actually do have lol. Done a few laps around there this morning and it seems suitable.

Also, instead of trying to get this sorted for a replacement for the next race, why don't we move onto the next Mouse track and simply add the replacements to the end of the tournament. That way it gives everyone way more time to fight it out over what replacement tracks to use

So we could skip Arena and Desert and go straight to Inspiron for the next race and then add the replacements for Arena and Desert after we've finished using the remaining Mouse tracks.

Just an idea

Yeah, the server is there, but we're racing there just every 2nd sunday

If you wanna race on the tracks I'm gonna have a few session during the week in the afternoon/evening/night (but not every day)
- on my server, not on the community server

if you have msn, get my one from the Players link and I'll send you a "nudge" when the server is up
