As a fact you are not the only one

I guess track makers are hiding some tracks on their computers just waiting something to happend. This is now more fair, track can be used on any cup and used also on this competition, and why not to release just a new track.

Yes! Second chance!
- What do you mean by the uploading tracks? Is it uploading it to the website?
- And is the track maker from the track that competed must go to the server cup? Because I can't do that...

Exactly. Just upload your track to Tracks and nominate it for the competition in this thread.

What do you mean? When you have uploaded and nominated track it will be taken to competition and cup. No other movements required, but recommended to join the preview cup to play track with other players..

I have just finished my track for this competition.
iB_Rainy_Forest
I think it drives quite nicely and I've managed to get a nice 'wet track' look with the lightmap
I'll keep it under wraps until nearer the deadline though
Also - 21/3 is a saturday night, so I doubt I'll be able to make that. I'm not sure how active TS is on a saturday night, but wouldn't it be a better idea to hold the cup on the sunday night (22/3) instead, when lots of people are around? Just a suggestion

Sunday it's usually reserved for cups. Quick check and seems like there is not cup fot that sunday, same to me if it's held on sunday.

Finished my track, I'm about to upload it on deadline day. Just to remind, you have one week time remaining.

For players who are going to rate these tracks, before you join in "trackmaking server" please turn all your graphic settings on... or you can miss something which can effect on your ratings (light maps for example).

Just to let you know, I won't take lightmap in consideration, because I think it's annoying and totally useless. Normally I'm also not rating basing on how the track looks but only basing on how it feels while driving it.
So if you made awesome lightmap but your track is poor at racing, I won't give you any extra points for that

I think thats not right way to rate... So if i do track without landscape, only track and obstacles it is good enough? I think good look adds some feeling in races and it should be rated. Or is this competition about who makes most wankable track?

Well, I didn't mention landscape. I was talking about lightmap, which makes tracks really annoying at times. I play with lightmap off, so I won't take that into consideration.
Landscape is obviously important, but not as important as the drivability (I prefer a track with ok landscape and nice drivability instead of a nice looking track and bad drivability).

Well... One track is made, but:
1) don't know if it brakes any of the rules for racing tracks (width of the tarmac, objects in turns, etc.);
2) don't know how to use different tiles;
3) don't know how to use different terrains (as in, slow tarmac in the pit);
4) just remembered it was needed a pit until the track was all done (and running low on map space);
5) design-wise it's almost pitiful (see point 3));
Well elegible or not for the competition, it's still Xx_Fuseday (

1. No it doesn't brake rules, no objects on the road and objects inside the curves is not on the road.
2 & 3 There is several turorials in tracks area how to use special tiles and terrains. You can take look for example on some TSB and TSE track and see how the terrains has been modified.
Nothing wrong on your track, tested it and it's acceptable

Keppana - k-Futurebahn
Here is my futuristic racing track. It's mixing half of normal track, half of sharp-edged curves, and it includes the spectator friendly "circle bowl" area.
Will the future racing tracks look like this, when today's modern tracks comes to the end of the road? Will there be mixing with oval curves or sharp-edged hairpin curves? Will the color of the track tarmac be different to default gray? Will the tracks grow backwards to old style Monza or Nordschleife? Only time will tell.

Looks like I won't manage to create a new track for this competition, but I'd like to take part with my only track released this year:

I hope to have better quality tracks for future competitions
