2.0.0, it's possibile to start this game in OpenGL 16 bit ?

Post by DjDiabolik » Wed Jun 24, 2009 3:12 pm

I need this because i have found my problems with some games.

I need to say if it's possibily to start this games using the OpenGL but with a forced 16 Bit color..

I have try to set 16 bit color from desktop but nothing append... i need to say because i found a game (Half File 1 from Steam) working correctly in a OpenGL 16 Bit but if i try to start the same game at same resolution but at 32 bit this games don't start again!! The games goes in crash and i need to close from task manager, i obtain a simil result with this game :)

*EDIT*
I have a copy of Ubuntu 9.4... now i try to make a live session and i try to install this game in Linux.... i want to try out of XP if i have the same problems.

I use Catalyst 9.6 (on XP), and the game runs perfectly in OpenGL mode. A little while ago when I still had Catalyst 9.2, it also worked without any problems.

I have a Radeon HD 4870. Have you tried changing the display mode from OpenGL to SDL or DirectX? You can do so in sliders.ini, search for 'OpenGL 1' and change that to 'OpenGL 0'. It might cause the game to run a little less smoothly, but at least it will work.
