I would save your efforts Pingu. It would seem the community no longer has any interest in the Awards.

Another part of TurboSliders dies. Shame really, I'd obviously underestimated how far the community has fallen from what it once was.

Well, I'm out. Awards are cancelled this year.

In the last two years the community changed a bit. All the finnish players (riq, jarno, ivan, etc) disappeared, so did the portuguese guys. But anyway, awards were never very popular in the community.

fast 4 votes already (and mines would have come), i was actually suprised positively^^
i'm just sad there were so less nominations for tracks, i would have liked to have more time to study best track possible to vote for..

anyway, i got to say, im no big friend of votable awards anyway - in that case, i like what the game generally is doing with the "generally world ranking" thingy - published tournaments influence a ranking, and based on this ranking awards will be given somewhat automaticly..

I'm with Mike here, I've hated the idea of "awards" since the day dede first mentioned them 2-3 years ago. He always kept nagging me enough so that I voted anyway, luckily he didn't do that this year.

Cancelled? Thats a bit of a pitty though. There goes my award for best newcome of 2009

. But yea it's quite unfortunatly so few people are on the forums.

One thing i keep getting across in most of the servers is a big increase in polisch players...... and they never talk English in the servers, it's hella annyoing and most at puna

its more annoying they have never showed their face on this forum or just check in once a week.

I still find it a pitty that these awards are cancelled? Is this the first time in Turbo sliders it happens? This topic should be open just until "enough" people voted.. Maybe make it a sticky for a copple of days so everyone has seen it.
