Hi
I have read long time cardef file to understand how each parameter modifies car behaviour but I have a doubt:
Many TS cars lap faster if you brake without lifting up from gas
I mean braking while keeping accelerator flat
I would make a car that permitt to make good corners especially corners with big radius (fast corners)
With the classic sequence:
-coner entrance: lift gas & braking
-middle coner: no brake no gas
-corner exit: push the gas
how should I balance parameters to do that?
TS F1 cars I found going around have too big cornering radius and are faster if you brake while gas in down I don't like that

I'm not really 100% sure, but the advantage to keep throttle down while braking is that you start accelerating right when you stop braking. That can be faster, yeah, but it's pretty much driving style related. For example, I usually don't drive with the style you described, except for wanking sometimes.Fabrik wrote:TS F1 cars I found going around have too big cornering radius and are faster if you brake while gas in down I don't like that
No, I don't think it works that way. If you brake, the car brakes and stops accelerating.Fabrik wrote:accelerating related parameters affects car behaviour even while braking if you keep gas flat
Anyway, I think you can figure out how settings affect car behavior by trying to change them and testing the result in the game. Easier and better that way

there some cars like that.. classic f1 cars in fact exactly like you describe. i forget where i get them from though. they are indeed fun to drive and race as you have to really adapt your driving style and overtaking is a lot more about outbraking than outcornering, just like in real life. i believe i got them from the car database on here.. under classic or retro f1 cars or something. try them, they are good fun
