Damn REIROM, you will play anyway. dede will run second server just for you and other 20 slower players. All points that you earn will be added to your team.

- qualify closes at 20:00 CET

This is all perfect. The only thing you could change is time of races.
Top players should start first, so that some of another group can join there if someone is missing. But anyway, idea is great. Also, we could probably collect more then 40 players and playing for qualy would be important by that. Otherwise, qualify only 18 players basing on laptimes is good solutions too.

Totaly agree. Good rules. If you fail to get into top 18, drive a good race in the 2nd class race and earn yourself a wildcard for the main event.

You already have a real oppurtunity to run... it cannot be more "realer"... because if a d player runs another player doesn't run etc...

You always have the race before it... to qualify. Or just start practicing ur ass off:P

@REIROM,,,, do you run with the latest download file for the new F1 car? If not, this can be the reason you have trouble getting into the top 20. It makes the car much faster, and more controllable = easier to drive clean and fast laps. I went much faster when i got the latest F1 file. You have the old file or?

i know my limits i cant be in top 20 with so many top players..

I explained why I quit the race, both during the race and here on the board, but it seems that some people who can't drive also can't read very well. Last race was very very laggy, different from the first one (which was less laggy), which I sucked at but I could race until the end. If you doubt it, just watch both replays and see the difference.

If quitting because of the impossibility of keeping your car on the track due to absurd lag/warping is not a good enough reason, I really don't know what is. I guess I should just have kept racing and spoiled other people's chances of having fun by doing things I didn't have control of. I mean, if due to lag I accidentally hit Del's car and put him out of the track, I'm very sure he would have a different opinion about me leaving the race. I guess this is a not very good example, since even with major lag I doubt Del would ever catch me in a race. If he ever gets himself into the top 20, that is.

Really, I don't get this whole "other people want your spot" thing. Why don't they earn it, then? Wank for it! Sometimes you will have to leave the race. Do we really need a jury to decide whether you had a "good motive" or not? Most of us are adults. I don't think we need that.

My idea? I say we put up a quota. If you abandon a reasonable X number of races, you lose your spot for the whole season. 3 would be a good number, I think. You abandoned 3 races? You're out. Very simple and fair. Better than having someone playing a nanny's role, judging the consistency of your motives or flaming the board so someone from the other team gets banned and he gets in. If you need to do that to get in a race, honestly you're depressing.

I expected that kind of argument from REIROM, not from Del. Anyway, if the quota rule is not applied and I happen to abandon 3 races during the actual season I promise to personally give my spot to Del.
